I don't know how this is effective, but it is. The dogs do not like the buzzing noise and will look at me when they hear it. Our 13 year old chihuahua is mostly deaf, so it doesn't faze her, but the 2 younger dogs are very aware of it. Please note that both of the younger dogs are in advanced training and often know what they are doing is not acceptable. I use this device not just for barking, but other behaviors that I want to stop too.

This bark deterrent doesn’t wasn’t at all effective for my barker. I tried it on mine, but instead of reducing his barking, it had no effect—or maybe even the opposite! He seemed to bark even more when I used it. I tested different settings, but none of them worked. Requesting a refund!

I guess it would be fine if you have only 1 pet. I would not recommend if you have multiple pets.

I wanted to wait to review this until I had it for a while. I have a 160 lbs cane corso that’s barks very loudly and constantly whenever he hears someone walking by or the mailman and it was becoming ridiculous because I work from home. I’ve tried the shock collar’s but those didn’t seem to work very well. A friend told me about this and I have to say she was 100% right. It’s portable so I can use it wherever I need to. My dog isn’t afraid of it but he knows when he sees it he needs to be quiet. Please make sure you read the instructions to ensure you are using it correctly. It suggest you are a certain distance away from your pet and the battery life etc.. Seeing how durable it is I don’t see me needing another anytime soon but if I did I’d buy this one again.

I have a very poorly behaved dog. Tears up everything with reach, jumps on guests, barks at nothing, is food aggressive, growls. I was honestly about to have to rehome her. But this thing changed everything. And quickly! We really only used the actually noise button one time and she absolutely got the point. Now we just pick it up and she immediately stops what she's doing. I've had 2 other of these but they were really small so they were hard to find when I needed them. So I bought this bigger one to keep in my sight better and it's a huge changer!!!

Do not be afraid to order this item, it truly works for my Lucky is is a little Hardheaded, I can push the red button before I get out the house, when I go to get him, he is standing @ the door. It really works!!
