I was wanting to purchase a dog whistle that is inaudible to humans. I need one to stop the next-door neighbor's dog from barking. I tried adjusting these but couldn't come up with a frequency that did anything but make him bark at the whistle.

I have a neighbor with a small dog. He leaves it outside in his yard most hours of the day. Heat, cold, sun, rain, snow - the poor dog is out there. As a result, he "yaps" CONSTANTLY, which is making us crazy. The purchase of a "bark box" (gives an electronic high-frequency response to barking) only helped a little.This old-school dog whistle seems to work much better to "shock" him into silence for short periods of time.So, I'll be using this until either the dog stops yapping or the ASPCA drags the owner away for animal abuse.

While barking my dog reacted immediately to the whistle. The sound did not scare him but he stopped barking and cocked his head listening. So it was a success. The whistle comes with a lanyard so you can hang it around your neck and have it easily accessible.

It seems to work as I do get a response from my dog when I blow it. On my end, I hear a slight noise like I'm lightly blowing on a regular whistle that has been muted.

All I can say is that I cannot hear it (sounds airy), but my dogs do respond to it.My dogs are not whistle trained, so the hear and respond, but I have some work ahead of me to make use. I intend to use this as a means of allowing them further away and having recall. Since they look right at me every time I have blown the whistle, this should be a relatively easy training effort.Seems well made, works, and the lanyard is a nice add. No complaints.
