I was using one of those typical cheap battery operated robots and I just assumed that’s as good as it gets. Well one day it stopped working so it started my venture into finding a replacement. I learned lots about pool robots specs, brand reliability and etc. I decided on this model. With all its bells and whistles. Now the price is a bit eye watering and it’s definitely an investment, but I’m happy to report it is well worth it. My pool is the cleanest it’s even been. The cleaner is so simple to operate tho I do like to use the app for the additional cleaning modes. It can be just as easy to drop in and hit one button and walk away too.The basket design is well thought out. The additional fine filters are a must for me. I don’t get too much in ways of big materials but more sand and silt. The water line function works extremely well. It even has the ability to get up a few stairs and sunning platform in the pool. Doesn’t get stuck or tangled at all.I run it once a week on an ultra cleaning modes which takes around 2.5 hours in my pool. The only thing I could find wrong was the come to the surface function. It doesn’t really seem to work.I tend to just pull it up by the cord slowly. It is HEAVY so be aware. The caddy does help for moving it on land and storing tho. But I could see this a bit too much for someone older or with limited strength to pick up.

We have an above ground, Intex Easy-Set pool. I've struggled with keeping it clean the entire time we've had it. I first tried a manual vacuum that connected to the filter intake, but the filter struggled with it (like trying to suck water through a REALLY long straw) and it was a hassle to set up and use. Then I tried a self powered vacuum that attached to a pole...this worked better but was a lot of work and time consuming because you constantly had to stop and clean out the small debris filter. Then I tried one of those automatic filters than you attach to the water inlet...this worked OK but didn't filter small particles, did not have any kind of scrubbing action and was also a bit of a hassle to set up (having to shut the filter off, attach the huge hose, restart the filter, etc.)Which brings me to the Dolphin. Of all the cleaners I've tried, this is by far the best in terms of ease of use and cleaning ability. You plug it in, chuck it in the pool and run a cycle (or two). It gets the pool as clean as any of the methods I've tried but with almost none of the work or drawbacks.Couple things of note...Our Intex pool has sloped edges, I was worried about this causing the Dolphin to tip over or have problems. This hasn't happened...the Dolphin is totally stable and a happy discovery was that even though this model is not designed to do so...the sloped sides allow the Dolphin to climb the walls pretty well. One downside is that because of the shape of the corners of the pool and the size of the Dolphin, it can't really reach all the way into the corners...I had to use a brush to push the debis out of the corners for the Dolphin to grab.I've seen a couple complaints about the Dolphin doing "wheelies" all the time and not cleaning because of this. Ours does do wheelies every now and then...but I'm pretty sure this is by design. From watching it, it seems to do wheelies as a method of changing direction. It'll pop up on it's back wheels, turn, then lay back down and keep going.Another complaint I've seen is in regards to the filter basket not catching small particles. Based on those complaints I went ahead and ordered the additional "ultra-fine" filter (which is made of a papery mesh material, similar to a pool cartridge filter). In hindsight, I don't think I needed to buy that. I don't know for sure but I "think" they may have upgraded the included filter at some point as the standard filter has no problem catching algae particles and the regular "pool scum" type stuff. The included filter basket is not made with the same "pool cartridge" material, but does still have a very fine screen that seems to get everything. I have not even tried the additional filter as I haven't needed it.So anyhow...they're expensive compared to many options. But if you like having a very clean pool with little effort...this is the way to go!

It took no more than 15 minutes to remove from packing box and putting it in the pool to start cleaning. It climbs the smalls just as seen in the videos. It has a cycle on time that’s either 2 or 3 hours. Haven’t been around long enough while it’s running to time it. It reaches all corners of the pool. It’s a bit heavy when you take it out of the pool. After it drains then it lightens up. The latch on the bottom of the refuse basket maybe damaged. It’s easy to remove the basket to clean it. The filters captured a lot of fine dirt/particles that my Hayward Navigator wouldn’t pick up or if it did would go straight to the pool filter. Very happy with this product.

I didn't find a lot of reviews and only saw a couple of youtube videos of it operating in an above ground pool so I was a little skeptical at first. It works fantastic and climbs the walls to do the waterline perfectly. It has enough suction to climb the wall and come back over on itself without falling off. I was very impressed. Super easy to operate and clean out. I would suggest adding an ultrafine filter to your order for the fine sand and algae that may creep in. The filters are standard for a few different units and made by a couple different manufacturers so you can find one for around $100. Altogether, best thing I've bought for our pool. 18'x33'x52" pool for reference.

This is our first Dolphin. We have a 18x33 above ground pool. The unit works great, no issues. Sturdy build and light. This is the above ground model recommended by the manufacturer. Especially like the large filter basket(larger than my pools skimmer basket), it has a fine screen with a trap release bottom and pop on screen sides which makes cleaning a snap. I was going to get a cheaper battery model, but glad I spent a bit more and got the wired version(light, no batteries to burn out, lots of power, and the manufacturer has been in the business for a long time.)It does not retain a mapping of your pool, but re-maps on every clean, which seems just fine as it’s doing its job and I didn’t want to pay for the cell phone model. Definitely the best bang for the buck in the Dolphin lineup.

I use this in my in ground pool which is 10x20 and it is a huge time saver. We are heavily tree covered and had to vacuum the pool daily, but now the E10 does all the hard work. Very basic 1 button operation does a 1.5hr clean, usually gets it all but any missed spots I just press it again for another round of cleaning. The basket is easily emptied. Best investment for any pool owner; I would buy a Maytronics again. My only dislike is the cord can block debris on the surface from getting picked up by the skimmer but otherwise a great cleaner.

We love our new dolphin pool robot. It takes only a couple of hours to clean our 14x28 rectangular pool. Saves us so much time from having to manually clean the pool - so convenient. Drawbacks are that it does not vacuum our stairs (which is not a big deal) and the chord could be a few more feet long so accommodate plugging it in to a receptacle. Our one corner of the pool gets neglected because the robot struggles to get that far and our receptacle inside our pool shed isn’t even that far. Once we have our exterior receptacle I’m sure it will just reach and get every inch of the pool. We are very happy with our purchase!!
