Did a lot of reviews on wireless DMX. These work great. I use with soundswitch and my own transmitter. No issues ever. Would buy again.

Used them to cut down on setup and break down. Work great. Wish for a bit more battery life, however for the size, is not bad. So far I've been able to use them for 6-7 hours without issue. Also tested them with their corresponding power adapters for charging and they will work plugged in. happy with the purchase.

I received these today; Therefore, I cannot comment on battery life, and I have not tested them for range. However, I did want to post a review because there were some (nice) surprises that I have not seen others comment on.First off, I purchased the pack with 1 transmitter and 3 receivers with batteries. As of this review, Donner does not seem to have a transmitter with a battery - you need to power it. Since the power adapter that are included are 5V 1A, I would think that you should be able to find a USB cable with the correct barrel connector on the end to power using USB rather than the 120V wall wart that is included. That might be more convenient in some cases - you could even power it from a USB battery pack. One (nice) surprise I found is that the antenna on the transmitter is removable. If you're not getting good range, you could potentially use an external antenna with higher gain, or one with a cable that would allow you to place the antenna in a more suitable location for optimal transmission. You just need a 2.4Ghz capable antenna with the correct type of SMA connector. One with a magnetic base might be handy.I've seen comments that you need a pin or small object to activate these units. I was able to do it with my finger, however, I needed a small object to change the color code channel. After setting the channel (and it is memorized) I was just able to use my finger to turn the receivers on and off. I was expecting to need a small object even for this task.Out of the 3 receivers that I received, one of them had the button mis-aligned so that you could not turn it on or change the channel. However, you can unscrew the plastic end cap and re-position the board. I also found you can push the board "up" closer to the shell so that it is easier to use your finger to turn the unit on and off. Finally, I wanted to note that if you are trying to pair the transmitter and receiver, you need to have a DMX signal flowing before the transmitter will flash red and the receiver will flash green. At first I just took the units out of the box, turned them on, and set matching colors - I expected them to start flashing as paired but they did not and I thought they were broken. It wasn't until I started sending a DMX signal to the transmitter did they act as I expected.I also was concerned about latency - so I did a test between using a wireless signal and a DMX cable. As far as I can tell, there is very little latency, at least none that is perceivable.PROS: * Good value for money - about 1/2 the cost of name brand (incompatible) systems * Quite a few non name-brand fixtures support this Donner wireless system natively * Easy to pair by color matching * Transmitter has a connector so you can utilize your own antenna * Receivers can be taken apart * No noticeable latencyCONS: * Transmitter does not have a battery * Would rather see USB C ports than barrel jacks for charging * Quality control may be questionable (typical Chinese product QA)Conclusion: I was going to get a name brand system that comes with a nice charging dock, but they were out of stock and don't know when I could get it, plus it was more than 2x the price. I decided I would give this system a try, and I'm happy with it. The only thing I'm really going to miss is the transmitter with a battery.

I admit I was late on these Donner wireless DMX dongles. If I'd listened to positive reviews like this one year ago, I would have had wireless control over my DJ lights long ago. Fewer cords less mess less stressAdd some battery-powered LEDs and you could set up your lights anywhere. I also use Sound Switch dmx software for perfect light shows. It is a great product for DJs and not a huge expense either. Don't sleep on this any longer. One more thing, if it's a question of how many to get, let me tell ya, I used just one (1) for my light show this weekend. On a T-stand, I hung four lights(2 movers and 2 wash). Daisy chained them with short 1ft dmx cables. Then just 1 of these and bam! Wireless light tree with total control via a sound switch. I set it on the other side the of dancefloor.

I had an unusual application for a live band lighting setup that required using 2 separate DMX controllers with discreet signals, while using the same DMX channels simultaneously. The product worked exactly as expected, has great battery life, and fast recharging ability. A definite plus, with no AC required for the receivers during operation. I'll use this product again. SO nice to expedite lighting set up times by eliminating DMX cables.

Bought these 5 months ago. At first the experience was fantastic. Stable connection, easy to use, they even integrated with other wireless dmx systems to my surprise. They make setup neat, clean, and a breeze, but that’s where the list of pros stop.Of the three receivers, 1 is completely dead (bad switch), 1 holds only around 2.5 hours worth of charge, 1 works but must be turned on and off multiple times to get the switch to make contact and has reduced battery life (3.5-4 hours).I’ve used them at about 8 events and have been careful about how I charged and transported them. During the last 3 events, I’ve had some sort of issue either with getting them to actually power on and battery running out halfway through the show. NOBODY wants the lights to cut off mid-show and that’s something I just can’t risk for my clients. They’re just not built to last, reinforcing the idea that you get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and pass on these for a more quality offering.

These make setup so much easier and faster. I have two transmitters hooked up to the Entec MKII. One transmitter for front truss and one transmitter for the back truss. I use QLC+ light software on a laptop. I have nine receivers, three on the front and six for the rear. Some are for a specific fixtures while others control multiple fixtures. They control 16 pars, 8 moving heads and a disco ball. Overall I am very happy with their operation and ease of use. The only thing I noticed is that a couple of the receivers batteries run completely down between gigs, so I take them off the charger just before leaving the house. The gigs are 4 hour long so they are on for about 4 1/2 hour at a time. I bought a couple replacement batteries to try out. Even though the original battery has a wired connector on it and plugs into the board you can use a regular 16340 battery for replacement because it has a spring and tab for the connection. I bought the OLIGHT 3.7 650mah batteries to try out.

You cannot buy the receivers alone. Only available a kit, which includes the transmitter. I've purchased three kits now and only needed the receivers. We should be able to buy the receivers individualy.
