Wish they came in black, but they work great, the ignition cylinder is tight and works the way it’s supposed to, wish it also came in black lol but all in all I’d buy em again, especially in black lol

The ignition cylinder would not work in my truck. I wasn’t sure why, so I purchased a different brand. Check out my picture. The original and the second one I purchased have the same smaller pin. This Model has the button that is larger. This model would go into the hole, but it would not lock into place. I can only assume the larger button is not able to snap in.Mine was an open box. The package clearly states not to turn the key until after it is installed. Mine would not go in because the key position was in the off position. Research revealed the key must be in the run position to install.I really wanted to return this, but I had to have a door lock as well to repair the attempted theft of the truck.

Installed on a 1994 Mercury Cougar XR-7. Once installed the door locks work perfectly. After installing the ignition switch, it works as well. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because of the beeping sound I hear once the door is open. Beeps as if I’ve left myLights on or left the key in the ignition, even though they’re not. But in the description it does specifically say for Mercury Marquis, so I don’t know if that’s why I hear the beep. But I’ll take the beep. I’m using 1 key for door and ignition versus 2 separate keys. Thank You soooo much.

Went to install this in my F350 and was having problems getting it to seat in all the way. After a few minutes of trying, I noticed the retaining pin was installed upside down. Had to compare it to the old cylinder. Also the plastic surround for the key is very loose and falls off easily. Other than that, the key is not like the original (it is missing the key grooves), but it did the job. Only 3 stars for build issues.

These fit perfectly both in the ignition and door locks.The ignition switch was a tad tricky because my truck had a wire harness blocking the button on the existing unit. Not a big deal. I removed the lower steering column colver (3 or 4 screws), moved said harness out of the way, and was able to press the button and release the broken ignition switch from the steering column. The new ignition switch slid in while gently rotating the key back and forth in the lock. It only goes in one way, so it's going to be very difficult to get it wrong!The door locks were super easy and didn't require door panel removal. I recommend using needle-nose vice grips to grap the end of the lock rod. If that lock rod falls into the door you'll probably have to remove the panel to retrieve it.It was about 20 minutes total for me to switch the three locks.

Product fits and worked great for my 92 f150.There are a bunch of negative reviews claiming you can't remove the keys after installing.I experienced the same after installation. Then I realized that the truck has a safety igntion key lock. It's a small tab on the column just about the ignition. This lock prevents the key from being removed while driving. Pull that forward and turn the key to remove it.My previous cylinder was worn out so the lock never worked properly. Now that the new cylinder is in place this feature is working again!Thought it was defective but realized it's just the key lock!Hope this helps others.

The keys work for the ignition, but not for the door locks. Very unimpressed. Will try and get a replacement

I have a '94 F250 it didn't really need the ignition but for everything it was s great price. After everything was installed it seemed to help the starting of the truck so maybe my old one was on the way out.Install is easy and straight forward with a couple videos on YouTube.
