I purchased these Magnetic Door Stoppers to keep my toddler from constantly shutting doors to certain rooms, and they’ve been working like a charm! Installation was straightforward, and they feel sturdy once in place. I tried to use door stoppers but they won't hold up properly and also damage the bottom weather liner.Pros:Easy to installMagnet is strongHolds the doorEase of useGuests liked it a lotKids friendlyCons:Need to be careful while opening the door and make sure it sticks because sometimes it doesn't and may bang the door.Overall a must for homes that open up to garage.

Pros: No problem with magnet hold strength and overall appearance. The male part of magnet must be unscrewed and removed from the rear baseplate to expose the screw holes to mark drill sites. Part can be screwed back on once bezel is tightened into place. Female side of cupped receiver is spring loaded and will initially recess, then spring back to position for hard door closure absorbance which is a nice feature. I did not use the included two-sided tape due to past negative (adhesion) experiences with other two-sided tape products. I went right to using the provided baseplates as templates and drilled holes directly into my floor molding and hollow door without using provided screw anchors which worked fine.Cons: Male part is a bit too long for horizontal door closure leaving about a 2.5" gap between the wall and door knob, and could have been an inch shorter. Vertical mounting to the floor is optional but I didn't want to drill holes into my finished wood floors. Screws are cheap metal and can strip easily so don't over tighten. Screws will not tighten flat to baseplate because they are tapered under the screw head and should have either been flat to snug against baseplate, or the baseplate holes should have been larger to accommodate for the ability to counter-sink. Therefore, the screws are not snugged "flat" against the baseplate and stick out a bit which gives an unappealing look. Fortunately, that is only an issue for the female receiver baseplate since the male side screws will be covered up when screwed back onto the male baseplate. Overall a good product, and would have given 5 stars if not for the cons!

I got these because summer in my house is called "Door slamming season" because the doors are constantly blowing shut. Putting these in place the doors stay open! The magnet is super strong and as long as everything is properly aligned works amazingly!I strongly recommend that you use the screws to attach everything, the sticky pads aren't strong enough for the strength of the magnet!

These are great! The stick on method does not work well, but if you use the screwed in method they are perfect. I have a dog who constantly locks herself in rooms, these force the doors to stay open and won’t close behind my pets. I can see this as being a great option for kids or elderly folks too. It takes a little strength to push the door away from the magnet that holds it open. Very well made and works great

I needed a way to hold some of my doors open to prevent my rumba room vacuum from closing the door and getting trapped in the rooms. I used the old wedge style openers but the rumba vacuum kept moving them out of the way and closing the doors. Got these and they are easy enough to install and they do the trick! The rumba vacuum cannot close the doors anymore. I will say that they are so magnetic that you have to pull hard to get them away from the wall, so if someone is sleeping in the room, it will wake them!

This is the perfect DIY solution for our bathroom door that just wouldn’t stay open on its own. I installed it in 5 minutes or less and it works really well. I did end up putting a piece of black electrical tape on the one side to lessen the strength of the magnet. You can’t even see the tape and now it’s the perfect amount of “hold†without being aggressive. Should’ve bought this a long time ago!!!
