This pickguard was accurately described and arrived as promised. Fit was not 100%- the edge that mates to the control plate was slightly long, but all the holes were perfect alignment. An easy fix. The appearance was much better than expected- looks identical to the Fender item to me. And it made my bass look so much better!

Was so excited to find out this fit my fretless Squier classic vibe jazz bass! I think the vintage white looks great on the sunburst. Easy to install but fits snug.

It doesn’t fit properly so needs to be trimmed in spots. The surface is soft so it will scratch quickly.

I can not say about fit in-placs of an existing guard as I bought it for an undrilled body. The hardness and overall feel is the same as original guard in my old Strat. I love the pattern and the color. It even came with protective film on the face surface and chromed screws. The pickup routing fitted the pickup like a glove as well. For me, it is a very good quality pick guard.

I hate how bright red this pickguard is. Not very vintage looking compared to the pickguard on my Fender Precision bass in the second photo. But it was under $10 with free shipping! Can’t complain! It was worth the risk. Other than that, no modifications needed. Fit my 40th Anniversary Squier Jazz bass perfectly.

Love love LOVE the tiger stripe. After putting it on my Squier 40th Anniversary Jazz bass (matte sea foam green body and maple fretboard, looks GREAT with this pickguard) I happened to bring my bass into Guitar Center for some unrelated work... no fewer than 3 separate people in GC came up to me and said "wow that bass looks great! where'd you get that pickguard?" I was amazed how much attention it got.Oh and yes the product is awesome. Don't forget, this is one of those that comes with TWO layers of protective film. I removed one, thinking I was done, then a few weeks later I noticed the 2nd one coming up at the edges. Looks much better with both of them removed! :)

The pickguard seems well built and has a good thickness and look to it. In my cases both guards I bought need to be trimmed in order to fit the neck and control plate areas. But, I have come to expect this from pickguards for both guitars and basses.

Style: Vintage Tortoise. for $10 bucks, this is a no-brainer. Installed this in five minutes. It's a beautiful, 3-ply pickguard. Looks very nice and feels as sturdy as the OEM pickguard I replaced on my 4-string Fender Player Series Jazz Bass. I believe the Professional II Series Jazz Basses have a notch cut out of the pickguard for truss rod access, but the Player Series Jazz Basses access the truss rod at the headstock. So if you have a Pro II Series, you'd need to make the cutout yourself.

Great way to add some personalization and make my J bass stand out from all the others. I also ordered a purple one that will take a bit more time to arrive.Descriptions says it doesn't fit Squier basses, but it fits mine perfectly. All the holes lined up, with no modifications necessary.No issues at all, I think perhaps the reviewers saying it's not mirrored, or the plastic is too soft may have forgotten to peel off the protective plastic? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It fits well on my Fender Jazz USA of the 90s but there is no truss rod hole. If your Jazz bass has a truss rod that adjusts at the nut, this is perfect. Otherwise, take your Dremmel !

I had to buy the chrome version three times and it does not fit a MIM Fender Jazz bass. It cracked at the junction between the pots and the scratch plate every time, despite screwing it in lightly.SAVE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. It’s trash !

These Dopro Fender style jazz bass pickguards are a near perfect fit on both of my Squiers (2016 VM & 2020 CV). Other brands leave a larger than desired gap around the pickup. These also seem to fit the overall 10 screw pattern better than others that I've tried. I've purchased several of these and plan on purchasing several more when I get more guitars, Lol! The mirrored silver and the mirrored gold ones are outstanding!
