The Dorman Spindle Lock Nut does just what it says -- locks the spindle nut in place. I don't know why it says "Kit" in the product description -- there's just the Lock Nut in the package. The factory nut has a "retainer" that holds the nut in place, but the Dorman Nut has an internal "lock" that's formed into the nut. No retainer necessary. You will need a 1/2" x 36mm impact socket to remove/tighten the spindle nuts.(TEKTON 4936 1/2-Inch Drive by 36 mm Deep Impact Socket, - (available @ Amazon) Spindle Nuts need to be torqued to 225-250 ft/lbs. For best results, re-torque both spindle nuts after driving 1,000 miles.

Seemed to work okay... Only thing that makes me nervous is the original OEM had a swiveling washer so any movement of the bushing wouldn't effect the nut; however, this one is fixed.

Cet écrou n'est vraiment pas comme celui d'origine (voir photo ci-jointe), il n'est pas autobloquant, ce qui le rend dangereux. Je ne recommande pas l'achat de cet article.
