I got this item to try to resolve a P0456 error that was showing up on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This item looks pretty much identical to the factory model although the insides do not rattle like the factory model. That doesn’t seem to make a difference, it has been on the Jeep for three weeks and is working fine. Install really wasn’t bad. I didn’t need to takeoff the rear wheel. I did break a couple of the clips that hold the inner part of the wheel well so I ended up having to buy a few of those, but those were easy to find on Amazon. After I installed this item, I cleared the OBD code and the check engine light has not come back on. I think this did the trick!! Much better than the $300 to $400 the dealer would charge! I kind of took my time and was videoing it as I went, the whole thing took me maybe 30 minutes. No special tools required, socket, and screwdriver, pliers. Although it would’ve been handy to have the tools to remove the clips, I might’ve avoided breaking them if I had those tools. But I have them now for next time! I watched a couple of YouTube videos so I had a good idea of the procedure. It really was pretty easy.

Worked perfect, had a 2018 Ram with gas cap light on, easy to replace, was in a tight area to reach. Disconnected the battery afterwards and the light has not returned after two weeks.

Had a check engine light on. Found this online and found it easy to install. Came with new o-ring. Resolved check engine light.

Man, I'm a tall lanky dude and getting my arm at the right angle to take off my old one was such a pain in the... But, I did it and after driving some time, my "check fuel cap" error on the dash is gone.Couple tips:- I have a 2015 Ram and the best place to slide yourself under to see this is in just in-front of the back passenger tire. Once you stick your head up a little, you will see it in the middle above the metal covering/shroud.- Take off the tube and out the wires before trying to get out the old one. The trick to get the old one out is that bottom clip, it just baarreeellyyyy needs a push in to be able to take it out, so don't stress it too much.- It only needs a 1/4 turn to come out and get the new one in, just look at your new one and see the 'clips'.- Once you get the old one out, reach up and take out the old O-Ring and replace it with the new one. [A couple videos showed that sometimes the old one is just fine and it's OK to reuse. In some cases the old O-Ring is better made so reusing is fine. Mine was torn a little so I used the new one.]- Be very patient with inserting the new one, you don't wanna mess up the O-Ring placement.- If you have a code reader, you can try to reset the dash light, but for me, It didn't reset. It just took some time and driving for it to disappear.Hope this helps.

Originally, I got a fuel cap light. I bought one of these pumps from a local parts store. Then my tank would not vent and it would take forever to fill it Replaced it this this one from Amazon, and it worked great!

me salió el DTS P0455 en un HEMI 5.7 2012, primero cambie el tapón de la gas elimine con scaner y volvió a salir el código, luego la válvula EVAP también de la misma marca DORMAN elimine con scanner y volio a salir, posteriormente revise toda la lÃnea que sale de la válvula EVAP al canister junto con la mangueras del tanque de la gas para verificar fugas o roturas, o cuarteadas en las mismas y nada y por ultimo esta bomba del canister después de instalar elimine con scanner y se elimino el DTS del banco de datos del vehÃculo, el diseño interior de esta bomba es diferente al de MOPAR, pero desde mi punto de vista los materiales de DORMAN para la construcción de esta bomba son mejores al de MOPAR el plástico se ve de mejor calidad que el MOPAR y el precio es por mucho gran diferencia, si recomiendo el articulo.
