This was an exact match for my 2001 Silverado, and arrived timely and without a hitch. I purchased this during a very difficult fuel pump change, whereas I had a tough time getting the old lock ring off to begin with. In realizing I simply could not get the old lock ring back on I ordered this, as it seemed I would end up damaging the old one, but in finally finding an installation tool I was so relieved I could get the old ring finally reinstalled.

The Delphi pump we purchased for a 2003 Silverado 1500 did not come with a new lock ring. This one fit perfectly!

Have no issues with price or the timing it's just the wrong part for my vehicle I want to return I've only have had it for 24 to 25 days but Amazon has never caused me a problem but the system isn't allowing me to set up a return please contact me when u can thanks

Lol so funny story i got this to replace my rusted old for preventative maintenance, my old one had some sort of glue on it keeping it in place, i never looked to see how far the old lock ring had actually been locked into place, but for the life of me i couldnt get this new one on.. my tank was so rusty and bumpy from the rust i could Barely, get the lock ring to slide on my new pump. I took a chizel and a 3lb hammer to it. Hit it every which way i could, i wouldnt budge on more than a centimeter... i bought this "steel weld glue" a putty that turns into steel basically and supposed to be really hard solid "welding" "metal" glue, i put it on alllll over the lock ring, let it dry before driving it, aaaand ive driven about 3000 miles since then, haha its been workin so far 😂 the stuff definitely dried pretty hard, and i live in the mountains so im on bumpy dirt roads all the time and the road is snow packed, i think itlllllll beee fiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeeeeeee :)

I usually clean up the old one and re-use it, but this time the old one was in bad shape. So the price was right and I had a couple days to fix the fuel lines anyway, and none of the local parts places stocked it, so I was going to have to wait, either way. Amazon's price was the best, so I ordered it from them. Fit, just like factory. Well satisfied.

It's working , bpught it for my 03 silverado with a new pump I installed, it needed some grease after cleaning the top of the fuel tank off a bit, just a bit on the metal prongs that this seals under because its quite tough to get on without it. Be careful what you thwack it on with to not cause sparks.... hmmm.. thatd be no good.

Glad I ordered this as the fuel pump never came with it and mine was so bad it could not be reused.My mechanic said it was a good deal.Half price of places around here,so if you need to save money for a quality part,here is where to get one.
