The Dorman 600-102XD 4WD Front Differential Actuator appears to be a more durable actuator than all others that I have purchased over the years, which only last a year or two. Boot rubber is much thicker than the others and has a spring on the inside that others don't,I also like the warranty that comes with my purchase.

Cant get an ac Delco, this is the best one since it has a spring inside. Don't get the other ones without the spring. Works good

This Actuator is mounted under the battery tray on 1998 thru 2005 Blazers and operates via a vacumn hose connected to the 3 port vacumn switch mounted on the left side of the transfercase. Remove your old actuator and test by depressing the diaphram and plug the vacumn port with your finger, if the diaphragm stays depressed it is good, if it releases while plugging the port it is bad. You may end up needing to replace vacumn lines between the Actuator and the 3 port vacumn switch mounted on the left side of the transfercase. If there is trans fluid inside your actuator then you definitely need some extra time involved to properly fix the cause of such a failure on the system.I also replaced the cable that connects the Actuator to the front transaxle being that it was also original and did not require that much more added time. Perfect fit in a 2004 s10.The rubber is definitely better quality than the original part from Chevrolet

My 4 wheel drive stopped working on my 2003 S-10. This fixed my issue. I started to go with some of the cheaper versions, but decided to spend a little more and go with the Dorman that had really good reviews. Now it works as it should.

Bought a cheaper version a few years ago. Last year’s snowfall proved it was cheap for a reason. Diaphragm ruptured. This Dorman has much heavier rubber used, should last a long time.

The new design is by far superior to the original and better than the last replacement which was AC Delco. Looks and feels thicker. Wasn’t to bad to install either.
