Had very slow, labored performance from front windshield wipers. The original wiper transmission was corroded and seizing up. With this I was able to save the wiper motor and restore perfect function the wipers. With basic tools and youtube videos you can see how to replace it yourself, the hardest part was lifting up on the latch to remove the wiper arms.

Bought this Dorman part thru Amazon. Dorman is a large supplier of automotive parts and windshield wiper linkages. Part arrived and box was damaged but part was not and it worked. Installed in my truck over the weekend. Looking at part and saw that bolt holes for wiper motor mounting were not in the same position as original. Found out that the linkage was mounted backwards and upside down. Disassembled linkage entirely and mounted everything correctly and installed it in the truck. Wipers in truck did not work at all and had to repair this part instead of return for another that might be incorrect.

There is a time and place for Dorman, but this probably isn't it. I typically go with OEM parts, and figure that I'm already saving money by doing the work myself, but I didn't see OEM on Amazon, and wanted it quick, and cheaped out. Comparing the OEM with this piece gave me remorse, since the Dorman design just has a plastic sleeve between the metal parts in the pivot points that fail.There is a design flaw with the OEM, so that the pivot point for the passenger side will collect debris and corrode and then completely seize. The brand new Dorman did not move as freely as the side of the OEM piece that was still working, however, and I'm afraid that it will not last. I have the Dorman part in now, and I'm happy to go into Spring with working windshield wipers, but I'm concerned that I'll be doing this job again, and next time with an OEM part.

First unit arrived defective. Amazon sent a quick replacement through the return & replace online process. New unit seems to be working just fine.

I have a 2016 F150 and this wiper assembly fit perfect and seems to work very well. My original assembly became rusty and seized. Replacement was easy with one YouTube video and a few screws. Hardest part was setting the assembly starting point on the motor post. Took a few tries to get it positioned correctly and have the wipers sweep properly. I wished I had taken a photo of the original position before I took it all apart.

It's better made than the original because they've installed nylon bushings instead of metal to metal. Now it will last longer and not seize up.
