I been having problems with my cv boot. I ordered another one from Amazon, but, it lasted couple of days. This one still going strong. The only thing that is not good are the metal bands. I had read in other people comments to replace then. I went to HD and got some better ones. So far so good.

This CV boot is so very expandable. I was concerned how to get it installed, but I took the suggestion of others and purchased a long plastic funnel (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G7AJUS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and cut the large end to just fit inside the opening for the drive shaft. I turned the boot inside out and lubed it and the funnel with grease and it slide on like falling off a log. I was amazed. The nice part with doing it this way is you don't have to remove another bolt to get the wheel support out of the way. See pic.The only problem I found was the clamps, thus the reason for giving 4 starts on installation. I do not have the proper tool to install the "pull and fold" strap clamps they provided, so I used a couple of vise-grips and did the best I could. This kind of a kit really should come with clamps that are easier to install. As a backup, I got a large hose clamp from the local hardware store and plan to put this on.

These went on pretty easy and seem to be holding up well since I bought them 6 months ago with about 4,000 miles on them. The only issue I would say I have with them was the metal clamps they come with didn't feel the greatest pretty thin and didnt seem to get as tight around the boot as i would have liked. Might have been user error with the tool used to install them. I ended up removing them an buying larger hose clamps which did a better job. Do far I would buy these again when I need to.

Unless you want to replace your outer CV shaft boots annually, DO NOT buy this product. They are made out of CHEAP chinese neoprene that will start cracking and leaking within ONE YEAR! Save yourself grief, go to rockauto, look up your OE part number, then go to the dealer or ebay and buy an ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER boot. You will pay the same price for an original part that will last at least 20 years.Repeat: DO NOT buy these Dorman CV axle boots!!!!

Worked well, but the clamps are just so-so, you’ll need to buy better clamps.

Fit perfectly, it has a line where to cut if it too long. I just cut along the line and installed it.

I found out the best is to take the CV Joint apart... Slid on easily but the straps are very weak and flimsy.

Worst quality item I have ever used, the boot fit fine but there was no way you could tighten either clamp tight enough to stop them from moving. The clamps were flimsy and made of very thin material.I ultimately had to buy a boot from a local supplier that had proper clamps. I would not recommend this product to anyone
