Look by radiator on driver side for dripping transmission fluid. This is a common problem with Subaru. Replace the lines with Stainless Steel so you don't get strained and/or ruin your transmission. Mine started spraying pressurized fluid through a pinhole leak. The original pipe corroded. It is painted a greenish color but just metal.Installation tip: there is an thin tube in the way which will move when you slide it out of the two black plastic holders. Take the old pipes out and put the new one in from the top. remove the battery and tray so you have more room to work. It's easier to remove and install the rubber hoses with the pipes bolted down.
Great product

This assembly is of very high quality. Is a perfect fit for my 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Premium. Installation was straight forward (after disconnecting rubber hoses and mounting bolts I slid the old assembly forward while rotating down and out the bottom of the vehicle - installation was the reverse). All mounting brackets and holes lined up perfectly. Tubing was flared and tubes bent identical to the original. I highly recommend this part. The original tube rusted at the front junction into the radiator rubber hose and started leaking transmission fluid. This assembly is made of stainless steel tubing and should NOT be prone to the same rusting issue.

This product will fit a 2013 Subaru Forester. My factory installed transmission cooler line sprung a leak due to corrosion, and I needed a replacement. Of course Amazon had it for much cheaper than my local auto parts store. I'm giving it 4 stars overall because it's made in China. Other than that it's a perfect fit. The removal and installation will take some time, but it's not bad at all. There's a YouTube video out there that explains it step by step. Note, this product does not include the 3 screws that secure it to the frame, but you could reuse the original screws if they're still in good shape.

They fit great, fitting brackets and hole direct fit.Bends all correct.Remove battery for better access.Replace the transmission rubber lines at the same time, will make it easier with re-installation.Install rubber lines prior installing into vehicle.Replace factory clamps as they will not fit over new lines and rubber line diameter is a little larger than clamp will allow. Don't over torque new clamps. When installing rubber lines and rigid lines install all hardware loose, align everything before tightening and you'll find alignment is perfect.

My previous hard lines had started weeping transmission fluid, so I needed a replacement. The OEM lines were over 100 bucks and my local shop wanted about 550 to do everything. In all, the replacement took me about 2.5 hours because I had to search for the right combination of sockets and socket extenders to reach the three bolts holding the hard lines in place.Comparing the OEM and this part, this part seems to be an exact duplicate, except for this part being stainless steel. I'm hoping the stainless steel will last much longer than the 12-year old part did.Quick recommendation. If you're going to be replacing your lines, use some PB Blaster or equivalent bolt loosener and spray the bolts a couple days ahead of time and they'll come off easier.

Great replacement for a sub standard Subaru part although the original line did last 10years in the rust belt. Great fit and awesome price compared to the dealer.
