All mounting holes and electrical connections are exactly like the OE unit at half of the cost. After installing it I was able to start the cold blooded 7.3 Powerstroke with no issues. Easy to install but do yourself a favor and take pictures of the installed unit before removing wires to make sure they are re-installed correctly. If you don't disconnect the batteries, be aware of the power wire to keep it from touching ground.

My old Glow Plug relay was intermediate. Would take up to 3 times to start when OAT reached 44°f or lower.Had this problem before, bought a relay from local Ford dealer 😳 forAlot more. Was a big, buy from the manufacturer, but half the time They'd have to order it.Not anymore, Amazon baby! Got it in two days, Free shipping.

Fitment is the same as Ford factory for my model year 2001 for glow plugs. However, one of the smaller nuts on the threaded posts was loose out of the box. Further examination reveled the post itself it was stripped at the bottom by overtightening. I simply added another nut with washer on top of the first stripped one in the good threads to tighten everything. It appears to be an issue straight from the factory as the item is brand new. Disappointing defect but it works anyway.

Installed on my 7.3 Econoline and failed quickly as the van is not used often. I bought a replacement Motorcraft for about the same price so the Dorman was a complete waste of money and time. Replacing these on a E350 van is a bit tight so count on another hour of your life you will never get back.

I have gone through a couple of these Dorman relays and they all seem to only last one year.I’ve come to the realization that you just gotta get the Motorcraft parts for your Ford Superduty.This will work in a pinch but don’t expect it to last.
