My 2018 Chrsyler Pacifica minivan showed the check engine light. When I read the codes with my OBD reader it was showing P-0456 which is a minor emissions leak. The most common cause is a loose gas cap (which this model does not have) and second most likely is a bad purge valve. I figured for $28 I would try to replace myself before taking the van into the shop.The part is located under the engine cover so you have to remove two star head bolts to get it off, then unplug two hoses and one electrical wire on the valve itself. The new one plugged in easily.I had to drive for a couple of days for the computer to test that the leak was gone, and the check engine light turned off.This part was an easy cheap fix.

I bought this part after getting an evap code error and the most popular culprit being this EGR solenoid canister valve. My evap code did NOT clear and it turned out to be something else, BUT this Dorman EGR valve since being installed has led to other service engine rich bank codes due to it failing within a months time. This product has many similar reviews and is obviously JUNK. Buyer beware. Save yourself the headache and big bucks. It actually cost me a thousand dollars due to the diagnosing and troubleshooting of a long list of rich bank codes only to find out that this was the culprit.

My RAM 1500 was becoming hard to start sometimes, it would crank and crank but it wouldn't start. I had an engine light and a code that said I had a small Evap leak.replaced it with this part and fixed it right up. This part however does make a loud clicking sound from time to time but it is part of the function of the part is just louder than the OEM one but nothing to be too concerned about. you can only hear it outside the cab and if you are listening for it.

I threw a code and this part was indicated as a common failure when that code happened on my 2017 Pacifica. It was easy to replace, but it seems rather loud during operation (perhaps newer ones are louder than older ones? Dunno.). It did NOT fox my code. Ended up being the Esim (part of the emissions system in the left rear tire well.

Nothing like a 20-buck part to completely avoid any dealership/mechanic costs! Matches OEM by fit & appearance and the Check Engine Light disappeared immediately.The hardest part was removing the anti-tamper plastic clamp from the old one. There's clearly a tool for that the dealerships have, I used 2 small screw drivers like lock picks and eventually got it. No fault of the purchased part, of course.Fits correctly & removed the code - a complete success.

I was having issues on my 2017 Ram 1500 with the purge valve. Which was causing the check engine light to come on and a long crank when I started my truck when it was hot outside. So I replaced it with this and it fixed the problem. However within a month my check engine light was on and when I would fill my fuel tank and start my truck it wouldn’t want to start and I would have to step on the accelerator while cranking to get the engine to fire up. After some research this is a common symptom of a purge valve stuck in the open position.I removed the dorman valve and blew air through it and air was able to pass through. Whereas if the valve was operational you would not be able to blow air through it.So I purchased a mopar purge vale and everything is working fine.

I like the fact that I can hear this new vapor canister purge valve working. I could never hear the original one on the truck cycling at all. Very happy with this purchase!
