This gear worked perfectly in my 1992 Mercedes 300TE. The original gear finally crumbled after a blizzard caused the arm to be mostly frozen in one position which caused this half round gear to crumble. The mating pinion gear was undamaged and it appears that Bosch designed the half round gear to fail first as it is easier to replace than the round gear which requires a press to replace. I had to trim the end of the rain channel portion of this new gear about 0.5-1mm so it would seat properly, otherwise it fit nicely, and works really well now. It has only been on the car a few hours, so time will tell if it holds up.
