It looks like the old solenoid. Fits onto the mounting ball and the connector fits without problem. The issue I'm having is that every time I shift from Park to Drive it sticks and will not shift without the threat of breaking the solenoid. I have to do this three times every time to shift gears from Park to Drive. It is very annoying. I am not surprised by this. Dorman usually have small defects like this. This will work until I can replace it with an AC Delco solenoid. If you need a short-term fix, this will work. Just don't rely on this product for longevity.

Works as it should. I can not attest to its durability yet, but will update this review if it does not last as long as I think it should. It is easy to install, watch a you tube video if you are not sure how to go about the installation (the hardest part would be taking the plug off the old one.)

Purchased Dorman p/n 924-976 shift interlock from Amazon mid-Oct '23.It broke, physically, after only 1-1/2 months of service (lower item in photo)GM part lasted almost 25 years..! (upper item in photo for comparison)Amazon won't take it back...outside the return period of 1 month.NOT HAPPY...! Waste of money.Is Amazon getting factory seconds?
