I think you could do a clutch job on a DCT transmission without this tool. However, if you need to disassemble the transmission for inspection, I think it would be very difficult without this tool. To me, it was worth the purchase price.It is strong and high quality. I think other tools I have seen look flimsy and cumbersome to work with.It has worked well for me. Pulled the clutch with ease and separated the transmission casing with ease also.

Have NOT utilized this tool yet! But examined it thoroughly, parts look good, checked threaded components, all GOOD. For the price,I'm impressed. Looking forward to employing this tool!!

This tool kit is a very good quality one and worked flawlessly! The Ford dealership wanted $3,500+ to fix my wife's 2016 Ford Focus SE DPS6 Dual Dry Clutch Automatic 6 Speed Transmission! With this tool kit and a ~$650 Luk Repset 07-233 clutch kit I was able to do it myself and save over $2,000! To say I was pleased is an understatement. The hardest part was getting the transmission off the engine and onto the work bench and then back on the engine once the clutch was replaced with only a floor jack I already owned and an inexpensive engine bay hoist I purchased locally for this job. To say I am please is an understatement.

I am a weekend half shade tree mechanic. After watching a few YT videos from a few channels, I decided to buy this kit. I pulled out the DPS6 and made sure that the transmission was level before working on it. Removed the first clip and worked through a few different positions before lining the bolt holes up. It centered to the shaft perfectly. The kit even included an axle shaft hole cover which is a plus to keep debris out of the gear area. I would recommend this kit to anyone.
