These work wonders and you don’t feel them in your shoes. If you or your teen is wanting these to limit the creases in your shoes I would recommend. These offer shoe protection, crease prevention and true to size

My boyfriend convinced me that I needed to get crease protectors as my original air forces were looking pretty sad. Since I got a new pair, I also picked up these to help extend the life of them. It's definitely an adjustment to get used to having these in my shoes but it's not terrible. I do think that maybe getting something a half size larger or cutting these to size would help the fit much more.
