I work in the kitchen 5-6 days a week. I also go to culinary school. I own Birkenstocks, docs non-slips, and my knife bag that I use this for. So I use my shoes and my bag a lot. I apply this, at least, once a month or every other month. It’s the best thing I’ve ever gotten for my things. It honestly keeps the leather shiny and healthy looking. I also put wax after applying this. Maybe I don’t need to but to me, it makes the leather much more softer. There isn’t any smell. If you do mind washing your hands thoroughly, I would wear gloves, but I don’t really wear any, since it’s so easy to wash off of skin. I use a micro fabric towel and squeeze the product right on the item I want to use it on, super easy to use. It’s bang for your buck, small amount goes a long way, and something that anyone should add in their leather care routine

Pictured is the before and after. Fairly deep gouge in the toe area and another on the side.Lightly sanded with 220 grit, applied the resin, let it dry, lightly sanded again, applied more, etc. until it was filled in a smooth. Each coat dried within ten minutes. I burnished with the back of a spoon after the final sanding to get the sanded leather to look like it did before I started. Or looks like nothing ever happened.I recommend applying in small batches. If you try to fill a deep gouge all at once, it takes a lot more sanding.Definitely will use when it’s needed again. Great stuff.

Helped me resolve a tiny minor surface imperfection from manufacturing of not one, but two handmade Italian leather jackets. I cannot believe my eyes. Just a drop 1/10th the size of Q-tip (think microns) does wonders, seamlessly integrating into the existing finish. Simply dazzled as to how effective and easy this solution was for me. Key is to do a little at a time (for one precise spot) and let dry for around 10 minutes, and ultimately press in to help form shape with your finger. Take your time and see how the polymers behave as they dry & solidify.Thank you Saphire!Matt Gnowles

I had asked the question if it could be pre-mixed with dye. I tried it and it worked very well, got a perfect color match. The only reason I put a 4 is that the product, when I purchased it, was somewhat separated in the tube. It still works, but I have to squeeze out more than I want to get the right ratio of the separated liquid (which comes out first) and the thicker part of the product. I do worry that by the time I get to the end, it will just be dried up since so much liquid comes out first. Also, when the thicker part comes out, it has the texture of cottage cheese. This is only for the white. I also own in black and that one is fine.

i recomend watching a couple videos on how to use this stuff if youve never used it before, as it can be slightly finiky. but once you get the hang of it, it works great. i used it to fix several deep nicks in the toe of my work boots.

Used this on my luxury handbag to fix up the corners. It did work but I wonder if it will last. It looks great though, I hope it doesn’t come off on my clothing etc.

I used this to cover up a scratch on a black leather purse. It worked well to make the scratch black, but the edges of the cream are visible on the bag as they are a different sheen than the leather

Before I start, I just thought I should reiterate what a couple of other reviewers have already stated:THIS IS NOT A STANDARD SHOE CREAM/POLISH! IT IS A SPECIALLY FORMULATED REPAIR CREAM FOR FILLING DEEP MARKS AND SCRATCHES.With that out of the way, I discovered this by accident when, after getting back a pair of resoled boots, I noticed that the deep, unsightly nick, previously on one of the toes (courtesy of a woman’s heels, as is always the case), had been filled in (albeit somewhat crudely). After making an enquiry, I ordered this to finish the job – the nick was largely covered, but some more of this repair cream needed to be applied to finish the job. With the aid of an old plastic card and some nitrile gloves, I carefully applied the cream over the affected area and left it to dry.Half an hour later, using a cloth, I then applied some Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier cream over the same area, applying some firm pressure (and generating some heat) as I went back and forth.Hours later, I returned to the boots and could no longer see even the slightest trace of where the nick used to be. That’s how effective this product is!So, in a nutshell, anyone who’s serious about their leather footwear needs to own at least one tube of this. It’s certainly worth every penny.
