So I bought this pump 2 weeks ago. As soon as I installed it i tested it and noticed that it was much louder than the original. It just didn't sound right. So here it is 2 weeks later about 6 loads later and now it won't pump the water out of the machine. I thought that this was going to be a bargain fix but I guess you get what you pay for. I guess that I will be buying a OEM pump and trying that. Lastly i also had to modify the pump cover with a Dremel to make it fit...

Installed this pump into our machine in April 2024; it failed in November. After removal it was clear that the impeller had sheared off where it mounts on the motor.Contacted the Seller about the warranty and was promptly offered a replacement pump. Replied to Seller that I'd rather just bite the bullet and buy a factory OEM pump due to the hassle of installing the pump in a stacked washer/dryer and chancing that the replacement would fail again in 7 months.Seller's prompt reply and offer would get 5-Stars, but the pump SUCKS!

This water pump works great and drains real well. The pump fit exactly as the old pump fit. The tool that came with the kit made the job so much easier. This kit was well worth the cost.

Updated review:Drain pump replacement is a regular chore for LG washers. This was the 3rd one I'd bought: The first lasted a year and a half, the second (an OEM part) lasted six and a half years, and this one lasted 5 months. I could tell when I installed that it was shoddy, and the short lifespan bears that out.Original review 6 months ago:Don't buy unless you have a dremel and don't mind cutting up other parts of your washer to make it fit.I bought this drain pump over all the others because it had 1 day shipping, and the spring expansion tool, and the package was slightly cheaper (~$2) than buying the spring expansion tool separately. But I regret buying it - in order to make it fit, I had to use a dremel to trim some parts of the white plastic shield that covers the motor (which means I may need a new plastic shield next time I replace the drain pump). And it was a bunch of extra hassle which was definitely not worth the $10 savings over the OEM version. The photos show the differences between the OEM pump and this pump. Also, the quality of the pump doesn't look great - there are some gaps in the casing and a couple cracks that don't look ideal for a part that I want to last for 4+ years in a wet environment. I'm giving it 2 stars because we're 2 weeks in and it's working fine.On the plus side, the spring expansion tool is awesome - it's sturdy, should last forever, and make the "removing/installing the spring" parts of the job a breeze.

This pump installed without a problem, and has been running strong for about 3 weeks now with no issues. The pliers for the seal spring are worth their weight in gold.*Update:Pump quit working, replaced it. Again. Better luck 2nd time around? ðŸ˜

The pump worked fine for almost two years and stopped. Appears that the impeller broke off the shaft. Nothing was stuck inside or in the filter. Buying a new one from LG direct this time for $53The pliers really work nice and make it easy to remove the seal ring, highly recommend the tool.
