This garden wand is easy to connect to a hose and is easy to use to water at the base flowers and vegetables. The length is just right for a person who is 5’2†to reach the base of my plants in a comfortable way. The product design with a thumb switch on the handle to adjust the water flow is smart and functional.

Definitely great for watering plants and for gardening.

I use this product to water large pots on my deck and patio. It is ideal for that. Earlier, I bought a cheaper wand, a Green Mount, with "Eight Watering Patterns" and it was total junk. This Dramm wand moves a lot of water, but it doesn't blast the soil or mulch in the pot the way the Green Mount does. The spray head on the Dramm has lots of small holes, so you get an ample but gentle stream of water. The valve turns on and off easily with one finger. I also love that all the components can be disassembled, so you can use any head and any valve you want. You can't change the spray head or the valve on the Green Mount.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because the water comes out a little heavier than I prefer. I have to use full water pressure which is fine in certain applications. The unit itself is high quality

This is not a review regarding the Dramm wand, in my opinion they are one of the most simple and reliable water wands available, no leaks; however I ordered, paid for and received two wands and received one complete wand and one without the plastic lever or valve. The lever or valve allows the user to turn the wand on and off when in use independent of the house or supply valve. Dramm supplies many of their water wands with plastic or brass shutoff valves and the additional cost of the valve is reflected in the price of the wand. Amazon lists this wand as being "equipped with one touch lever activated valve" and the valve or lever is referenced three times in the About this item section. I would simply return the one wand that was delivered without the valve, or both wands, however I have been schooled (burned?) by previously making or attempting a return to Amazon and the returned item not being sent back to Amazon by UPS, and as a result the credit for the return was again charged back to my credit card and I had nothing to show for my expenditure. Frustrating and left me shaking my head. Therefore, I will keep both wands and give Amazon a low rating utilizing the only way that I know how to do so. Once again, this review is directed at Amazon for sending me an incomplete product and not Dramm, which is a very good company that still manufactures many of their products in the USA and I am a satisfied user of many of their products. Come on Amazon, execute properly on your end!

So many of these watering wands are a one piece design when they don’t need to be. This one isn’t! You can detach the nozzle and valve and use them separately. The valve and nozzle are both marked made in USA too.The tube and water breaker are both full bore. The valve is the only restriction point but seems to have about 7/16 to 1/2 inch diameter opening which isn’t bad. Overall I’m really happy with this one. Might consider the longer version of the dramm classic line but this one on sale was cheaper than just buying a valve and water breaker alone.I took a bunch of pics so you can actually see what the product is. It’s so hard to find info on these things today… hope it helps someone!

It's 100 plus degrees in Texas and I have potted plants on the patio. The watering head was standard (and great--a lot of water but not too much pressure to hurt the soil around plants). But, the plastic shutoff broker on the very first use. I was suspicious about a plastic shutoff (the place where your thumb switched the wand off and on) and sure enough, the first time I turned it off the plastic interior snapped. I'm on a municipal water supply in Tyler, Texas and I don't think we had exceptionally great pressure. Dramm has a good reputation. I certainly hope they read this and make this valve out of a better plastic, brass, etc.

I bought this to replace a 15-year old Dramm wand I ran over with my car. Perfect length for home use, and the padded grip and included shut off are more than the simple wand I had previously. Shut off works great with no dripping. Longer lever makes flow adjustments easy. With the valve at the base of the wand, water inside the wand necessarily must run out (and likely drip) before water flow completely stops. No way around that.

The wand was great but the nozzle head cracked around the edge with short usage & leaked....needs to have the aluminum head as a standard.

Bought this as other brands with plastic compents that always breakdown, but this is fantastic because it is made with a sturdy aluminum. Better design and withstands heavy use.

The plastic shut-off is crap and leaks. Replacing it with a brass shut-off. The wand itself is great. I have two.
