I have to say, this is the absolute nicest fan i have ever bought. Over the years I've gone through a lot of fans. If you're looking for a quality product that is quiet and powerful, for perhaps some horticultural endeavors, buy this one

Surprisingly quiet and powerful. The big blocky external AC power adapter is a bit goofy looking (why not use a conventional power cord and put the transformer inside the fan pedestal?) but overall it is a solid product.

There's nothing I love more than a product that just works and does what is expected with no issues, tweaks or adjustments needed. I already owned a Dreo 16" fan, so I jumped at the chance to order this pedestal fan when it became available and it is simply awesome. It arrives in a rather large box (about 4 feet tall) which was surprising in this day and age of compact, put it together yourself items, but that just means that assembly is all that much easier. All I had to do was screw on the base (a very heavy disc) and it was ready to go. The base is adjustable, but only by about 4 inches total, so overall it's about 40-44 inches tall. As mentioned, the base is very heavy, so tipping this over isn't really an issue and the diameter of the base is about 11".Once plugged in, you have the choice of touch controls on the pole, a remote or the DREO app on your phone or tablet which is very easy to use and provides great functionality for the fan's settings (speed, oscillation angle etc.) Set up was simple for me since I already had the app installed on all of my devices, but even first time users can get set up in about 5 minutes. The app requires that you create an account, which sounds like a pain, but once you're set up, you can download and sign into the app on multiple devices and the fan is already saved (great if you have more than one DREO device...).You really can't go wrong with this brand. The Alexa control is a welcome addition which only took a few minutes to link and as for controls, they thought of everything from sleep mode (gradually reduces fan speed over time) & auto mode (adjusts to room temp) to a natural mode that adjusts the speed of the fan randomly like a breeze. Fans have come a long way and DREO is at the front of the pack...

This smart fan has good air flow. It looks like it's from the future so definitely a conversation starter. I couldn't give it 5 stars as something is severely lacking on this fan. I have another Dreo Polyfan 502s so I got really accustomed to the controls. I assumed that all of their fans had similar functionality as they all have the automatic vertical and horizontal oscillation. This fan's controls are infuriating. They have controls for horizontal oscillation, but you have to select and then alter the vertical oscillation with a button. I don't know why they didn't put the 3D Angele control oscillation in this fan like the older model. Just doesn't make any sense. It functions for the most part like any smart fan, but without the 3D Angle Control I can't give it 5 stars. Oh yeah and it gets loud after the 4th speed setting. It goes up to 10, but once your on the 5th setting the loudness is negligible to 10. It's almost as loud in 5 as it is in 10, but 4 and below you can't hear anything sitting about 6 feet from the fan.Speaking of 6feet from the fan, the remote control range sucks ba-dokie dooks. You have to literally walk up to the fan to get the remote to function. If you're about 5 to 6 feet away, it just doesn't work all the time. You have to make sure you're aiming at the very front of the fan.I'm hoping Dreo comes out with some firmware to address some of the inadequacies of this unit. It is their most expensive fan model so I think they need to work on it a bit more. Address the issues with the fan speed (I mean seriously it goes from quiet to loud in 1 increment), add 3D angle control to this unit's software, and please fix the remote signal. Once they do that this will be a solid unit.

I have had at least 100 fans in my lifetime and they all have one thing in common, they fail after purchase. This Dreo fan is the exception so far. It is one of the best designed fans I have used and the more I use it the more I see why it differs from all the others with maybe one exception, the ultra expensive maker. This fan was designed with the end user comfort in mind. One of the things most pedestal fans have in common is that they are all at a set height so if it doesn't line up with your side of the bed you have to put it on a pile of books. This fan not only has a height adjustment at the base, it also has a tilt for the head that allows it to raise up and down as well as going left and right as it sweeps the room. The fan comes with a remote control that is super easy to use and the buttons on the front of the fan are well placed and when lit are easy to read. The one problem I had with it was in the dark. The remote has no lights on it so are hit and miss in the dark as you try to find the power button. The buttons on the front of the fan are not raised so you can't "feel" what to push but the strengths of this fan versus that minor deficiency makes this the best fan on the market and combine that with the nearly silent operation, instead of whining like the most expensive fans do, make this the best multi-use fan available right now. Even cleaning the fan is simple and well explained in the manual. And finally using Alexa or other voice companion devices means you can turn it on and off, as well as control the rest of the fan functions, without needing any of the subdued buttons. Great fan and one that will be remaining as my primary fan for a long time.
