With all the connections necessary to add a strainer to the water line of an RV, it accomplishs the job well. Bear in mind that it is not a strainer for fine sand of and disolved product but rather for larger "trash" that might damage a diaphragm style water pump. It should always be installed on the suction side of the pump.

The original strainer decided to start leaking on my first camping trip of the season. I found this one and it works like a champ! The pump now builds pressure and shuts off, no more leaks! Everything I needed to complete the repair was included. Good price and fast shipping.

This item is easy to install. But, I had installed it to replace an older filter that was in use for 4 years until it failed. But this replacement only lasted 6 months, with much less use. Not sure if I got a defective one, but also I don’t see a way to contact the seller or manufacturer to replace it.

It might work on a rv system, but for a small irrigation strainer, nope.
