Product Description

wood for aquarium
driftwood large

Driftwood comes in all shapes and sizes and can be added to create natural landscapes, so you can be as creative as you want!

Please note before use:

1.It is recommended to add soda or salt for a long boiling time of one hour. After boiling 3-4 times (at least 1 hour each time), tannins will be released from driftwood, and the water will not change color when you put it into the fish tank.

2.If your tank has a filtration system or activated charcoal, you can put driftwood in the tank after boiling 1 time. With a filtration system in place, adding the driftwood will not discolor the water and can even improve water quality.

small driftwood for aquarium

Natural driftwood contains tannins, which will turn the water yellow if used directly, and needs to be pre-treated before use, you can follow the instructions to remove the tannins.

Tannic acid is a common substance in the plant world that can resist harmful bacterial decay and pests, so tannins do not harm aquatic pets.

Works great on my specialized rear wheel.

Awesome drift wood be sure to boil and rinse 2 times before adding to your tank there’s lots of brown die “tannins” in the wood it’s beneficial for your fish but makes the water looks brown and dirty

This is a solid piece of driftwood, perfect for fish tanks and reptile enclosures. It has a nice natural look and doesn't leach too much tannin into the water. Some people mentioned needing to boil it first to get it to sink faster, but I just let mine soak for a few days.

Boiled with baking soda 5 times. Went to bed. Woke up. And now this. Hours of hard work on this tank completely ruined. This product is NOT aquarium safe. AT ALL.

I like their unique shapes and colors. You obviously need to boil them and use purigen to prevent water from browning. They stay under water without any issues. I think the price is slightly on the higher side of the spectrum. The sizes are close to what’s described.
