A bios tape maker pays for itself with one application.I’ve been using these for years. After reading some of the other comments I hope they kept at it and figured out how to use it. It will get easier once used a few times. I find that using a sleeve ironing board and a small iron works best. Making about 6-8 inches at a time also works best. Corners are the hardest part to master. Just practice.Probably the best thing about making your own bios tape is you’ll always have someAnd in the color or pattern you want. These are one thing that you can buy that lasts forever. I’ve had a 1/4 one for 20 years.

I am new to making my own bias tape, so this was my mistake. A 1/2- inch bias tape maker makes 1/4-inch double fold bias tape. Amazon was kind enough to allow a credit and I have since purchased the 1-inch maker. That one is on its way, so I haven't tried it.The 1/2-inch maker did work very well. You have to measure and cut your tape precisely and it took me a while to get the correct width, but once I did and ran it through the device, I could see that it will work very well.

If you're a heavy user of bias tape, you need this tool. This tool can quickly and easily help you perfectly fold and iron YARDS of bias tape, and you can use any fabric you want instead of being limited to the colors they have at the craft store. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but bias tape made with this often comes out sloppy. I've looked up videos, double checked I'm cutting my strips to the right size but still end up with sloppy bias tape. It's less frustrating to do it manually.

Sturdy construction, no direction but found directions on the internet with a video and there are several that are good quick tutorials.
