This is not a bad product at all, it's well made, fairly inexpensive, and should last a while. My only issue is it should have a dust cover despite it coming with an insert saying one is not required due to it's sealed design....what's funny is the old one I took off the car was the exact same one and it had a dust cover! Anyhow, it's been a month and I've had no issues at all, still sounds great. I would get another one if this one took a s*** down the road, pardon the pun.Updates:*9 months and 25k miles later, still going strong! No issues with it at all.*14 months, still as good as new!*21 months, Haven't had any problems with it! +43k miles on it now.

You may want to remove the old alternator and take this decoupler pulley off the shaft first. My mistake was that the alternator shaft was too buggered up to accept the new pulley and my attempts to install it caused it to break. My air wrench wasn't set that high but the shaft was bad. So, I wasted my money on a pulley which broke. It was not due to bad quality. I simply should have removed the old alternator then removed the old pulley to find out this pulley would fit. I ended up buying a used alternator with a good, working pulley still on it. That would have saved me hours had I done that first. It's still a good product. It's just that my old alternator was crap.

This are pictures of my old pulley, my 2008 Chrysler Sebring was making an annoying sound or squeak whenever I turned it on and drove it. I did my research and found a lot of people having the same issue and resolving it with this new pulley so I tried it myself because I didn’t want to replace the whole alternator because it was good. Needless to say i’m happy with this purchase and recommend it to anybody with the same issue, the sound is completely gone and you can barely hear the engine.

A good quality product that works as advertised. It was a direct fit for our 09 Caliber. I would buy again. A good price with fast shipping.

On a tight budget this saved me a ton of money instead of a whole alternator

Delivery took exactly a week from the States to London where I reside. Part was the exact replacement for my Dodge Caliber. The rattling noise stopped almost instantly, car working perrfectly thanks to this alternator pulley, saved me replacing the alternator altogether. Thanks guys.

My Jeep Patriot developed an ungodly howl. Using an automotive stethoscope I isolated it to the alternator. While searching alternators on Amazon I came across this part. It is the original replacement part, made in Canada. It fit perfect. The only issue I had was getting the supplied cap to snap on. I should have installed the cap before putting the alternator back in the car, but it seems the cap is smaller than the opening and won't click in. Who knows. Anyway, I put some gasket sealer on it and let it dry and the cap hasn't moved. Oh, and the car is quiet now without having to buy a $800 alternator.

Used this on my 2013 chrysler 200, fits and works great, but, the dust cap doesnt fit, its too small as the picture shows.

Gates is a good brand. Used them before which is why I am using them again. Stick to brands that last.

Once the alternator was removed from the vehicle. and the old decoupling pulley removed from the alternator using an impact gun (no special tools required), this new pulley fit perfectly. The engine noises have been reduced significantly at all speeds and the car now actually sounds like it should.
