My son started taking drums, so we got him this to go with the electric drum kit. It's a good size for that, allowing all the pieces to fit and helping keeping them from shifting while he plays. The rug did come folded so it took a few days for the creases to lay flat. It is a soft texture on top, and the bottom has a rubber gripper pattern, so with the kit on top, this rug isn't moving across the carpet any. I will note the kick block we got does not grip this well - though after looking into it more, I believe its the kick block, not the rug, but hope this helps someone else who is looking at the same items for their set up.

Protects my wood flooring and keeps everything planted. Seems to cut down on vibration and warms the tone.

It's too soon for me to give a long term review, but my early impressions have been... *mostly* good. I do have two issues with it, though only one really affects me noticeably.1: The backing has an array of very small and thin rubber spots, patterned to look like flowers for some reason. These small dots just aren't enough to hold a rug in place on a hard floor without plenty of weight on it, as I've learned with another similar rug in the past. This is not an issue for me, as I have it captive under some fairly heavy bits of furniture.2: The creases and wrinkles that came from how it was folded in the package have been very persistent through my attempts to straighten them out so far. I'm sure that with time the creases will fade on their own, but it made getting the rug exactly where I wanted it a bit harder as it wouldn't stay flat enough to get a reliable fit between some of the furniture, but I did manage. It's still trying to poke up, but it should straighten out now that it's held down by the furniture where and how it should be. I would have preferred it come rolled tightly, would have improved the creasing compared to the hard folds it did come with even if the bag was a little bigger.I'm not the biggest fan of the design on it, I think it looks a little corny, but it's not bad. If I weren't a Vine customer, I might have been inclined to try and see if I could find a different pattern in a rug that looked of similar quality, but assuming I couldn't find a pattern I liked better, this one would do just fine. All things considered, other than the creasing I'm quite satisfied with how it went in and what it feels like, and I'm definitely leaving it here for the long term. If it starts wearing down after a few months, I may update this review with another star or two knocked for short life. But I don't much expect that to happen, at least not that quickly. No, I can't comment on how well it works as a Drum mat/rug, I don't even own a Drum I just thought this would be perfect for my desk, and so far it is.

I recently purchased the Drum Rug 4 Ft x 6 Ft Drum Set Mat, and it has been a fantastic addition to my drumming setup. Here are some key points:Excellent Floor Protection: This rug is made from tightly-woven polyester fiber fabric, which provides a robust 0.2-inch thickness. It effectively protects my floor from damage caused by drum kits and pedals, ensuring my practice space stays in great condition.Noise Reduction: The soundproof design helps to mute the noise, making my drumbeats clearer and more focused. This is especially beneficial for practicing at home without disturbing others.Non-Slip Grip: The non-slip rubber-lined backing with anti-slip points ensures that my drum set stays firmly in place. I no longer have to worry about my drums moving around during intense sessions.Versatile Use: This drum mat is not only great for drum sets but also works well with other instruments like pianos and electronic drums. It's suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, making it a versatile addition to any musician's gear.Easy to Store: When not in use, the mat can be rolled up and stored easily thanks to the built-in straps. This feature is convenient for saving space and keeping my practice area tidy.Stylish Design: The sleek black design adds a touch of sophistication to my setup. It looks great in any environment, whether it's a home studio, practice room, or performance stage.Overall, the Drum Rug 4 Ft x 6 Ft Drum Set Mat is a must-have for any drummer. It offers excellent protection, stability, and noise reduction, all while looking stylish. Highly recommended!

...and his name isn't even Mikey! Did I just date myself? Yep, oh well. I ordered this drum rug for my husband, who likes the look of it so much he actually considered hanging it on the wall! He didn't. This durable rug has a classy look and is the perfect size for under his electronic drum kit. I think it's a good value for the money, and has the durability to last him a good long time.

This rug has a ton of grip on the bottom, and a decent amount of padding and thickness to keep your drums spikes from digging into the flooring underneath or piercing all the way through on soft surfaces like other carpets. The design is nice, no issues with the decal like imperfections or fading. Unable to peel. It's dyed. No complaints. works well with my electric set, but I'm sure it would absorb a lot of the vibrations from the drums on the flooring.

Over all this nice mat, it comes folded in plastic so the fold marks are will probably take a good while to flatten out. The design is nice and so far seems like it's good quality, and value
