This is my first time with a tool like this so I would have appreciated better instructions. It goes together fairly quick and easy but I had to use the pictures of the product to know how to assemble it because there was nothing in the manual that came with the product. I initially installed the head unit upside down and after I corrected that, I had no idea where the tensioning spring connected but was able to discern as well from pictures of the product in the listing. Also, there are two foam gaskets that I knew must be for the vacuum hose but there was no mention of where to install them. After examining the hoses, there seemed to be a slot in the end of each connection point that looked like the intended installation places.The tool runs fine, has variable speed and adjusting the length of the handle was quick and easy. It actually has a pretty good flow of air going to the collection bag but I think it would work better to adapt the hose to a shop-vac for collection of the dust. Of course, the shop-vac would need a good HEPA-filter to prevent fine dust from saturating the air. In any case, I would always wear a good quality mask while using this tool.I can't speak to the longevity of the tool but drywall dust is a tough environment. It does come with an extra set of motor brushes so that should help extend its life.

Thought it was going to be cheap crap but just hoped it would do this one job for me it’s awesome works great only thing is do not use their bag on it I connected mine to a shop vac with a bag in that and it worked amazing was able to flatten 800 square feet of ceiling in less then 2 hours and didn’t even need to patch anything except where I stuck the edge of the sander in a few places but that’s operator error

Sparse instructions. Put it together upside down the first time too. Once assembled it is like a weedwhacker. I only spun it against the wall and it will certainly scratch things up. I was impressed by the lighting. The vacuum doesn't blow out like the pics. I don't know what those gaskets and springs are for. Figure it out. Review use and longevity later.So initial use is positive. With 80 grit it will sand off plaster, thick pieces 4mm or more needs a good grind first. Of course it is weak on the edges like crown molding. The vacuum is good. Part of the problem for users is poor instructions. The other part is poor users.

Good powerful unit with excellent built in extraction so no need for added vacuum.Illuminated work area great for seeing imperfections also!Used on walls (filler) and even textured ceiling to remove high points before skimming!
