ZOZOMOTORS Dual Electric Fan Relay Kit
Specifications:
- Voltage: 12VDC
- Temperature: Approximately 185'F On - 175'F Off
Please note: You need to run a 160 degree thermostat when running this kit with this temp switch. If you got a thermostat above 160 degrees (say 180 thermostat) , your engine will not get cool enough for the fans to shut off
- Thread Size: the temperature sensor has a 3/8'' pipe thread, and a 1/2'' adapter included
- How to use: Connect the color-coded wires per the diagram (product image 2)
The temperature switch supplied with this kit is OE style to mount in the cylinder head of the engine or any water jacket if needed
The temperature switch MUST be grounded through the threads to the engine in order for it to work, and the engine MUST be grounded
This relay kit is enough to run two medium profile or low profile cooling fans. For high profile fans, you can use ZOZOMOTORS heavy duty relay kit P/N 30247. Or crimp/solder bigger wires yourself for pin 30 & 87 to carry enough load for the fans (10 gauge wire - 30 Amps)
If you want to turn on the fans when A/C compressor activates, you would need an additional relay kit and follow the steps below:
- Connect the RED wire (30 pin) from the A/C relay to the black wire (sending unit) of the original fan relay harness
- Connect the GREY (86 pin) and COFFEE (87 pin) wires from the A/C relay to the ground
- Connect the BLACK wire (85 pin) from the A/C relay to the +12 volt of the A/C compressor clutch wire

These relays are working so far. I'm not using the temperature control but using a toggle switch to control the fans.

For the price point it's not bad quality the tempswitch is too low for a thermostat above 160 degree fans run non stop. The wire connectors are cheap and no heat shrink just get some of these and a 160 thermostat

been about a month since I installed this on my 84 c10 with electric fans ..dont put electric fans On a toggle switch it too many amps ..the relays and temp sensor are average quality ..but all around seem to do the job

I installed how the instructions say and it does turn on automatically but it’s at a much lower temp like 160 and then runs constantly.

This is a quality kit. I recently purchased this due to the fact that the last one I bought was junk. I had to keep fiddling with it all the time to make sure the fans came on. Not with this kit. It is well made, had two relays and a quality made wiring harness. Now I actually forget to keep an eye on my temperature gauge because this one is so dependable I forget to watch to make sure the fans are keeping my engine cool. They work great and I am going to buy more as I convert some of my other rigs over to electric fans. Awesome product.

I used this on an engine swap to power a dual fan setup on an SBC. I was able to mount the relays and fuses in a convenient location due to good wire length.The plastic fuse holders don't tolerate cold weather and the covers break off. They still work fine, but no dust/water protection.
