This Toto is light weight and made of a soft material like silicone. The string is a good thickness and the whole small enough for little fingers. My daughter has lots of fun practicing her skills.

As some have said, this is not a great yoyo. Problem with all yoyos is that they eventually go "cockeyed" and once that happens they tangle up and stop. This one goes cockeyed almost immediately probably because of very high friction and very low mass.So why get it? Because it is soft so your kid can't use it as a nun-chuck and hurt themselves or someone else. Plus the string is shorter than a usual yoyo. It does do the very first return cleanly and easily. You can forget about tricks of course.

The string is not tied tightly to the wheel and whenever my toddler tried to wind it, it keeps rotating forever which is irritating

My kids are 4 and 6 and as a first yo-yo this is great. It’s soft and easy to learn and for those moments when they want to swing it instead it’s great!

Bought this for a 4yo. They really wanted a yo-yo and they were able to get it back up on the first try. They carried it around for days talking about their tricks. The yo-yo is really responsive, making it really fun for little ones. The silicone sides are an extra nice change, especially for when kids inevitably use it improperly.I typically buy the Butterfly XT for kids because we’ve found it to be more responsive than the original Butterfly. This will be my new go to yo-yo for kids.
