I looked at a lot of tap sets on Amazon before selecting this one. It has a good array of tap sizes in SAE and metric, fine and coarse threads. It has small and large tap holders, plus the thread gauge. The plastic container holds all of the parts pretty tightly. It has a plastic film and a thin foam pad to help make sure everything stays in its place. All the parts were in their place when I first opened it, so if it survived shipping, it will be just fine moving around my shop once in a while. I use the provided small screwdriver to quickly pop the parts from the case as needed. It does not come with any drill bits (most of the kits in these price points don’t), but it comes with a guide on which size drill bit to use for each tap. I inspected a few of the parts and I didn’t notice any quality issues that were obvious to the naked eye. I have used both the taps and dies, and they both work very well.If you want a complete kit for both metric and SAE, fine and coarse threads, small and large sizes, and you plan to use this once in a while, I cannot see how you could go wrong with this purchase.

The set came complete, has all advertised sizes, and looks good. There are definitely a few rough spots on the dies but they appear to be on the non-cutting side. I cant speak to the durability of the units or the tolerance of threads these will make, I couldn't find any durability reviews on youtube but visually and with my limited bolt checking they appear to be functional. Great for the price and come with the more rare M10-1.0 tap/die which I wanted.

Used this once by now. Quality seems good enough and good value for cost. Carry case is very nice too. One tool wasn't assembled correctly from the factory, but I disassembled and reassembled it easily. Some handles don't grip the taps... too hard to tighten enough.

Took a chance. My 1968 Mercury tower of power outboard starter was haywired on to the motor. This was the only bolt holding it on. And the beginning threads were messed up (and I messed them up a little more trying to restart the threads back into the hole). Making it difficult to impossible to thread in. With lube, and reversing 180 after every 90 degrees forward.... I have a new bolt. Threads (starts) very easily now as it should. For me (generally I only chase/cleanup threads occasionally after I mess up or ???) this kit is great.

Solid set that comes in a good case. 100% better than my hastily bought autozone set.
