Purchased for a major overhaul of my recumbent trike. Everything I needed was in this case, for a very reasonable price. Bottom bracket changeout, all new cables, and numerous smaller tasks, including breaking the chain and changing length. Good quality tools for a nice price!

I have rebuilt/tuned up several bikes with this set already. The quality isn't the best but everything is functional and gets the job done. If you're not a pro and just want to be able to service your own bikes this is definitely a budget option that works at least on vintage bike.

This is a great tool kit. The quality is there, IMO. The tools feel solid. It has many of the tools you need, but not all. I needed to replace the headset on my bike, for example, and I had to purchase four more tools to do that.1. Headset remover2. Headset installer3. Crown race remover4. Crown race installerChances are you will never have to replace a headset unless you are making upgrades, as I was, or require an odd repair, in which case you can bring your bike to the shop. I’ve seen some reviews making comparisons with Park Tool, but a similar kit from Park will be at least $1000. This kit is 40 pieces for $70. There is a 15-piece starter kit from Park here on Amazon going for $200, just to keep things in perspective. I'm not a competitor, a professional bike mechanic, or even an amateur. I’m just a DIY’er. A regular guy with a cheap bicycle who likes to work with his hands from time to time. As such, this kit from Duratech is more than adequate for what I do and my skill level. I say get it. But remember you may need more specialized tools down the road. That said, depending on your situation, you may never have to purchase another kit or anything else. You may prefer to bring your bike to the shop for big stuff and handle simple repairs and maintenance yourself. For that very specific situation, this kit is perfect.

Not the best toolset but it does get some things done. I personally haven’t used the chain breaker. But as a beginner working on bikes it did help me with taking parts on and off. 3 stars because the pedal wrench’s and some of the Allen keys wear down really easily. So it’s ok.

Perfectly good, fairly comprehensive general kit at a reasonable price. Tools are pretty well made, but included case could be made better as tools tend to work free as case is carried and moved.

Have little knowledge about tools needed for bike maintenance. Will probably learn as needed. There are items in this kit I have no idea what they are used for.

This is an excellent basic startup bike repair kit. Plus, the case is both durable and practical.
