Just discovered sour dough starter. Love it and all the things you can do with the discard. I was using my old soup kettle and decided to get something that is made for bread baking. It really is a beautiful domed kettle. First time out with it will be sour dough peach bread. Everything I have made so far with sour dough has lasted at least 10 minutes. Hoping for extra good results with my new pan tomorrow. It’s a nice size and not impossibly heavy which is a very good thing.

This bread dutch oven works just as well as my Le Creuset, but at a much better price. It’s durable, retains heat evenly, and the enamel coating makes cleanup a breeze. Definitely a great buy!

We have never had, or used, a dutch oven! This has been quite the cooking addition.The quality of this dutch oven is impressive, very thick and heavy. We have made stews and, as the photo shows, bread for the first time!Unfortunately, I'm a carnivore and bread is something I eat very, very seldom. But, I couldn't resist. I slathered the butter on like no tomorrow, and it was ever so good.As we are still getting used to the variation of oven temperature in our new gas range, I can see it may have been a little too hot. I removed the cover and let the crust brown, but didn't get that thick crunch I was looking for. That isn't the fault of the dutch oven; that is a user learning curve, so I have high hopes I will get there.The stew we made cooked perfectly, easy cleanup, food came right off the porcelain finish.
