This was a replacement to an already installed system that broke down after many years. It integrated perfectly without any problems. My only nitpicky complaint would be that it is not possible to display all eight cameras on the monitor at equal sizes like my older one. One camera is chosen to be the main, much larger size, while the rest are spaced around it to the right and bottom. It's a personal preference. Great system; easy setup. Could've had a drone integration with 20-watt auto laser canons, but that also is a personal preference.

I bought this to replace my now dead Wisenet 5mp camera DVR. This unit has all the same features and connections, but will not recognize my cameras at all. Further, the instructions are almost nil so it is useless to me. Why don't manufacturers print or at least make available for download an actual user manual - not just a basic setup - so you can fine tune and program features? I didn't know what half of the setup features were and changing settings did nothing to help me. So, back it went.

The unit boots fine, and is easy to configure, but the ESSID is hard coded, and won't connect to any existing cameras via WIFI. Unless you buy this NVR with a set of new cameras, this unit is pretty useless.
