I like the design, it feels heavy duty. The problem I had is it was very noisy. Sounds like it has bad bearings out of the box. It functions as expected, I can feel a slight catch as I spin it by hand. Maybe I got a lemon?

Very heavy and sturdy. The taper on both sides is accurate, and the bearings are smooth. No complains whatsoever.
