My goodness! This order got here at light speed. The product was exactly as wonderful as I have come to expect from previous uses. The major epiphany brought on when I used the gauge on my filly meant I had to re-order a size 3x but hay, that got here very quickly as well. The gauge kept me from a serious blunder and saved pristine spinae-erector structures on the filly. And now I have a more than complete set of new tools! Yeah!

This product contains the yellow, green, blue, red, and white gullets as most saddles come fitted with the black piece. The measuring tool, extra screws/washers/etc. also included. I changed out my standard gullet for one of the wider ones. I did require a little assistance to get the screws out as they were in relatively tight. I never needed help changing out the parts on my previous Wintec saddle, I suppose it was more worn in than this one. The gullets are labeled as useable for both Bates and Wintec, there is also a Collegiate emblem on the pack, so I believe that they can be used on those as well. (Assuming you have purchased an Easy change Gullet saddle). This product is of great value, especially if you ride a lot of different horses.

I purchased a used Bates saddle even though it was too wide for my horse as I knew I could easily change the gullet plate. I ordered the Easy Change Gullet System assuming it was a complete set. It isn’t. My horse measures M (black gullet) which is not included in the System. Why isn’t it? Because Wintec/Bates says their new saddles come with a black gullet installed, so you don’t need one {just sitting here blinking my eyes at that reasoning …. } Anyway, be forewarned. If you only need a black gullet, you need to purchase it separately. If you want a complete set, you need to order the system along with a black gullet.

Found a video on YouTube and was able to swap out the black for the red in less than five minutes.

I’m so glad this is an option for my Wintec saddle. This really solved my saddle fit issues. I had purchased an underweight horse from the auction and nothing fit him, he was so thin. He ended up being the narrowest size. It took me less than 5 minutes to change out the gullet. As his weight improves I know I will have to make adjustments but I’m confident that this kit has everything I will need to keep his saddle fitting him correctly and comfortably.

Great product. I only wish they would have included up-to-date instructions to go with the newer saddles. I bought the latest Wintec 250, and, it included the instructions for a much older version of the saddle. Had to go on line to get instructions.

Be aware the black gullet is not included. Seller was very good and offered to send but Wintec is a bit misleading by presenting this as a set.Returned it.

Perfect. This system will allow my saddle to fit any horse that I get. You just cannot beat a saddle with a changeable gullet. Very please to have this system at the ready.
