I like these ebony pegs better than wooden ones. Ebony doesn’t expand or contract in the peg holes in the peg box as much as other woods that get stuck, then try getting them out when stuck. I have broken a few wooden pegs, but not any ebony ones. Ebony takes peg liquid and peg dope well without slippage after waiting. I was taught to use tiny bit of Ivory Soap on the pegs and peg box entry site. This keeps pegs from slipping.

The tuners were good quality Ebony and turned well in the shaver with no chip outs to speak of.

They are very long and don't fit a violin. Disappointed.

Very good quality! Nice wood and very smooth, but the pegs were huge and did not fit my violin. Probably viola pegs. The tailpiece pin was very nice and did fit my violin.
