Joule Rating
Think of Joules as the number of surges the power strip can take. Higher rating = longer lasting protection. 1080J is a very good rating in a compact surge protector.

I bought this for the outlet behind my nightstand and it works wonderfully. I love how you can position the plugs to the side so it doesn’t force you move your nightstands further off the wall. It also comes with a usb-c port and a usb port which is nice. When you have a lot of things to connect ant once, this is the product for you. Charges my devices at the normal outlet rate and it’s surprisingly less bulky than other options. Overall a great value and I would repurchase for other areas that need it.

6 outlets in a not-too-imposing package. I wouldn't place it on an outlet with direct line-of-sight when entering a room. But if you're needing extra outlets next to the bed or in another space where need flexibility, the rotating outlets are super convenient. Obviously can't speak to the surge protection effectiveness since I'm not in the habit of deliberately causing power surges, but the rating is sufficient for most small electronics. I wouldn't use this for any expensive A/V equipment, but for everything else (phone chargers, lamps, clocks, heat pads, etc), I don't think you can go wrong here.As far as quality of construction goes, it's on par with other EchoGear products. Pretty solid. Not cheap. Not super-high end. Reliable fit & finish. I find the design functional and not terrible to look at. Install is simple. Definitely use the center screw. (I should note, standard outlet covers only. This doesn't work with traditional decora outlet covers.)For the price, it's a solid value proposition.

I bought 5 of these wall taps in total. First 2 I purchased many months ago and prove to be reliable and functioning superbly, so I bought more. All Reasons being unique swivel design, illuminated protection and ground lights indicators, precision manufacturing, high 1080 Joule Protection, line noise filtering, and most of all 500v Clamping which makes it UL Listed. In my opinion best available on Amazon.

I bought this because I needed a low profile (notice the bottom of the picture where the countertop is) surge protector for my bathroom to plug in my many devices. Overall this fit the bill perfectly, BUT I wish the plugs were facing upright. You can see my dilemma with my beard trimmer that because the plugs are not facing upright, the beard trimmer is awkwardly sticking sideways. Not the best, but it'll do until I find something better.

This is doing exactly what I need it to do. In addition (might sound strange) but does not make any noise. The last few multi outlet surge protectors I used for this particular outlet would emit some high frequency noise that was super annoying to me and even more annoying (and stressful) to my dog. Also, have not experienced a surge so cannot vouch for how it works in that instance quite yet. Would purchase again though for sure.

Easy to handle not very large surg protector, exactly what I need for my application. It has 6 outlet that are able to rotate to the side. This is a great option if you need to plug more than two devices in your outlet. If you plug a large brick charger like some of those for tablets just turn the outlet to the side that will makes it almost parallel with the wall. That will also prevent from taking away used from the outlet next it. Which is one of the biggest issue from non rotating ones. Not only that if you plug this in the bottom of your outlet from the wall, you still be able to use the top socket. This one comes with a surge light and ground indicator. It does not come with USB sockets. Overall it works as advertised it is very versatile, easy to use and it's very affordable. Definitely a good option for small applications.

I like that you can turn each outlet so with power adapters they don't block the other outlets. Always had a problem with that with power strips
