Your cart is empty.The Edelbrock Metering Jet is designed for use with the Edelbrock Performer Series and Thunder Series AVS carburetors. The jet and rod is changed to get the cruise air / fuel ratio leaned out. The step in the rod changes the effective jet area between high and low manifold vacuum conditions.

I miss the old days when a Holley jet was 65 cents. These are overpriced but when you need this particular size, you pay the price ( and that like new 1406 carb was only $15 at a swap meet. Sighhh

Always check the actual number on the jet, sometimes you get two different sizes in same package.

I'm in the process of tuning my 1406 carb to 1405 specs and these guys are working great so far! I have the 1405 stock metering rods on order now too.1406 edlebrock carbs comes tuned leaner for better fuel economy than the 1405 which was tuned for performance and has a mechanical choke. The difference between the two are the jet sizes, the metering rods and the electrical vs mechanical choke. Thats it! Beyond that they are the same carb!

Did the job. Just have to find the right combination of rods and jets to get your Air/Fuel ratio just right. Problem that with Edelbrock sometimes it's a compromise. If you need the power to be really rich, you might have to richen the cruise side too unfortunately. But, with your engine combination (every one is different) you might get it spot on on both cruise and power.

Exactly what my little 302 Ford needed to dial in the AFR. Results added power across all RPMs and improved shifting of my C4 once the Carter AFB carb was tuned using the metering rods and jets from Edelbrock.

Leaving a rating for the carb, not the jet. Love how simple it is to mix & match jets and rods with the Edelbrock carb. Doesnt require removing the carb to do the work.
