This kit relocates the pin position on an Edelbrock carburetor when hooking up to a throttle valve style transmission (700R4, 2004R, 4L60). The pin location is critical as the TV controls line pressure, shift points, shift firmness, and part throttle downshifts.

Works as intended. Make sure if you are running a spacer that you have your cable level with this mount. If it’s in the stock location it will be pulling at the wrong angle and probably f up your transmission.

This part worked to shorten the distance between it's attachment point and the bracket where the trans kick-down cable is located. I'm using a 1406 Edelbrock carb, mounted on an Edelbrock 2913 Super Victor intake manifold, on a pre-86 Chevy 350cid block, with a TH200-4R trans, in my 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo. My biggest problem was finding a bracket that would position the cables in the correct locations. At first I tried a Mr. Gasket adjustable bracket. The throttle cable location was fine but even after modifications I couldn't get the kick-down location close enough. I finally took an old bracket off of a 1976 Chey PU with sbc and cut off all the metal not needed. I was left with a bracket that only held the kick-down cable. This moved that location about an inch more forward. Bingo! I probably should have bought the Edelbrock bracket to begin with.

I was hesitating first about buying this, but glad I did. It is perfect position for linkage. My 700R4 transmission shifts like it should, night and day difference with and without. If your running a edelbrock carburetor this is a must have.

This is not a water neck adaptor, it's a TV Cable adaptor for OD transmissions such as the TH200-4R and the TH700-R4This worked great for what it's intended for, but it will require greater clearance of the manifold. I'm not sure why Edelbrock doesn't also make an adaptor for the TV Cable housing mount. I had to fabricate my own.
