I was thinking this would have come with a blade but out of the box this has no ability to cut. So, I guess I'll be looking for a blade. As for the overall functionality, it works well. I suppose. The two pieces slide into each other without any sort of a spring, but instead relies on air pressure. Once squeezed together to provide resistance to then push it apart again. It can only do this with the little rubber washers that are attached to each end of the plunger, so I can see these things coming off before too long. I was hoping this would have had some spring mechanism that would last longer.

I can't say I'd recommend this edge banding trimmer from a quality standpoint. It's a cheap-feeling little plastic thing with a set of two tungsten carbide blades inside it, that are sharp but not as sharp as I'd want. You can sharpen them, sure, but you'll have to do that yourself. The plastic doesn't feel very good and it's cheap and hollow, and it clicks a lot when you move it around and use it.It doesn't come with any instructions at all or even diagrams or pictures of what it's supposed to look like in use. You could argue that it's so simple you can figure it out for yourself, but if that's the case, then the correct thig to do would be to just not make it in the first place. It really should have at least have some picture-based diagrams.I have to be honest, the description and images really sold this up to be a higher quality than it is and I'm not convinced it's going to hold up long at all. If it defies my expectations and improves or outlasts what I expect it to, I'll update this review later with a higher rating.* I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis.* I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review.* I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product.* I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable.* If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them.* And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

I like how this makes quick accurate work out of cutting the edge trimming down to size.

If you need this one time, it might be ok, but this feels like a cheap, disposable tool frankly. If you're going to do any kind of edge banding frequently, I'd recommend spending a little bit more to get a better tool. This one being spring loaded is 'sticky' to squeeze and the plastic is brittle. Not sure if it would survive more than a couple of drops. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Super convenient way to trim edge banding. Say goodbye to wandering cuts made by hand.
