I purchased this grinder roughly 6 months ago. Been using it professionally 3-5 days a week grinding concrete floors, as well as osb subfloors. It has been bulletproof until today, after grinding out a small bathroom the tool wouldn’t turn on. I immediately brought it to a local repair shop expecting the worse, a hour later got a call that the brushes were toast, but they had them in stock could have it fixed by the end of the day. Now that’s good service!!! Gezon Tool service look them up!Even though the tool died within 6mo I would still recommend it. This tool has ground down, tens of thousands of square feet of concrete and osb. It was a solid investment and everyday it works from here on out, is a bonus.I feel bad admitting it, but I doubted Gezons turn around time on the repair. We need a grinder on the job everyday, so I went and bought a Bosch 5†grinder with shroud right after I dropped the makita off.First impression of the Bosch is very good. Comes with case, kinda bulky but nice. Also comes with replacement dust shroud brushes which is a huge benefit over the makita. I keep having to tape the shroud on the makita cause the bristles are so worn down. The Bosch also has a better removable opening for grinding tight to things. It runs smooth and grinds with ease. Not sure on longevity obviously. Maybe I’ll update this in a few months. If I didn’t have a grinder, and was deciding between the 2 of them I would go with the makita. It’s considerably less money and from my experience, very tough and reliable. I’m sure the Bosch will be stud as well so you can’t go wrong either way.Good grinding folks

Could not ask for an easier to use tool, low vibration, relatively light, good dust collection when connected to a shop vac. Took epoxy off a basement floor in two afternoons, now using to remove failed paint coatings off of concrete block foundation walls. Perfect size for working with older uneven concrete. Cheaper than renting. Would highly recommend.

Works perfect. Grinded 50 years of nonskid silica sand and paint. Let the machine do the work. If you try to manhandle it too much it can dig in unevenly. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Garbage! Broke after 2 uses. I had bought a cheap one and didn’t like it I returned it. I spent more for this one thinking it would be better quality. Did not work all of 30 minutes before grease was flying out of the bearing it overheated and broke.

Broker after the 3rd use. Cant return because it’s past the window of my purchase in February 2021.Gear oil shot out and it seized up. A big disappointment as I have always loved makita hand grinders.
