I bought one of these to replace a broken photocell on a driveway flood light. I don’t like throwing perfectly good items away, so opted for this instead of replacing the entire light. Also, much cheaper than buying a new light. Easy to install and set

Works perfectly controlling a 200 watt LED floodlight . All settings are easy to adjust. Wiring is straight forward. No issues in 13 months of use. Highly recommend !

I recently replaced the motion sensor on my outdoor floodlights with the EDISHINE 180-Degree Motion Sensor, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Thanks to the clear instructions, the installation was straightforward, and the included wire nuts made hooking everything up a breeze. Adjusting the detection range and delay time was simple, and I could set it just right to avoid unnecessary triggers while still covering the area I needed. One of the best features is the adjustable neck—you can angle the sensor exactly where you want, which made a big difference for my setup. It works perfectly with my LED lights, and the different modes are super convenient. I mostly use the Auto mode, but having the Manual Override and Dusk to Dawn options is a nice bonus. It’s a great, affordable replacement that saved me from buying a whole new floodlight. It’s definitely worth it!

original sensor was acting erractically and staying on most of the night. Ordered this replacement sensor instead of a complete motion sensing outdoor security light. Though a completely new light was only a few dollars more, wanted to minimize environmental impact of tossing out my entire light.Wiring was easy. As indicated on the diagram, white and black wires go to the outlet box. But the color for the trigger wire may not match your unit. See how the wires are hooked up on your old unit beforehand.

First gripe: the cords are quite short. For my install, had to add another foot to each wire.Once lengthened, install was no issue. Worked perfectly fine for about a month. But then it stopped working. The orange “detection†light on the sensor went blank, and the light it was connected no longer responded. Confirmed wiring okay. The sensor just stopped working.Fortunately, I had a back up. Cut out this failed sensor and replaced. Back to normal.Maybe I had a lemon. Dunno. But cannot recommend.

I bought two of these, and both failed in exactly the same way. The light turns on when it detects motion, then stays on all night and never turns off. Do not buy.EDIT: The seller contacted me upon reading this review and offered a return, replacement, or refund. Interestingly, at about the same time, the LED floodlight I was using burned out, and I replaced it with a different brand of LED floodlight bulb. Now, the sensor seems to be working better and is not on for the entire night. I will monitor it more closely. However, I will increase my rating to three stars in view of the vendors willingness to make it right. This is good customer service.

I was bale to use it as a replacement on a multi-light set-up. No issues with it. Setting the sensitivity was easy, and it is working on four LED bulbs (120W equivalent) for some time now. I will re-review if there is any issues (yes, I do that).

So happy I bought this sensor instead of a whole new light fixture. Works perfectly.

Good unit and I am buying more.Heath-Zenith motion sensors are poorly documented as to their switching capabilities (incandescent, LED, etc) and notoriously failure-prone over time. Some older HZ models use triac (silent) electronic switch which won't work with LEDs, others use relays ("click") which work with wider variety of loads. These EDISHINE units use a relay for switching (you hear the little "click") the load, and are well documented. Work with both LED and incandescent loads.Time will tell how reliable they are. I'll update in future. There is also a 240 degree coverage model at a similar price point.Opportunities for product improvement:- a ball head type mount to provide more flexibility in aiming the sensor- putting little notches in the adjusting arm surface to help the arm pivot settings stay in place and not potentially slip over time- current sensor design has more detection range on cross movement at the sides than on approaching movement in the center. This is a typical weakness of most such sensors.
