The combo valve and knock arrestor, kill 2 birds,1 stone.appears well made.I'm a DIY person, recently had hot & cold copper lines under slab (repl with pex)and routed in attic( by plumber) woke up couple times thought some one knocking on front door, finally found the knocker when it didn't stop after I got up.looked up plumbing knock on Google, and found out about arrestor.I replaced 4 of my old (screw U vlvs) with this 1/4 turn arrestor combo, and 4 others that the plumber repl with new 1/4 turn(just vlv)with just (T type) arrestors) my knocker is gone(excuuuse me for blaming the neighborhood teens. (I was once guilty myself) if you have pex plumbing(sooner or later) get this combo arrestor. Works great(late night knocker gone for good.) I hope,I hope.Mitch D

quality - sturdy, can't go wrong with this 1/4 turn valve. It was easy to install once I got the old one off. I feel very secure using this brand and no worries about leaks.

The valve attaches with compression fittings. If your existing valve connects in the same way, then you will most likely be able to use the existing nut and compression ring - this simplifies the job immensely. Fortunately for me, this was the case. As such, the installation was 5 minutes for each valve replaced. Moreover, the water hammer is solved.

Really nice quality 1/4 turn toilet valve with water hammer arrestor. Brass with nice chrome finish. Fits standard 5/8†copper water line and 3/8†flexible hose to toilet. Seems to have quieted water hammer from Toto toilet. Tip on removing existing toilet valve ferrule: use penetrating lubricant, carefully grip old ferrule (compression ring) with pliers and twist/pull until it slides off; clean copper pipe with emery cloth or something similar. Also suggest having new flange (escutcheon) on hand.

Works as designed but if you intend to use and existing compression nut form an old angle stop the threads may not match. Make sure you remove the old hardware completely and install new.

Installed this between the shutoff valve and service line for a new toilet that was hammering my plumbing. Fixed it in one go.

The product is excellent and worked as advertised. Installed in about two minutes and no leaks. The only bad thing is that is came from outside Canada so it arrived about 4 days after the promised delivery day. It had to go through customs so that is normal. Would definitely buy again!
