This microwave egg cooker is a real problem solver. I live at 10,152' altitude and cooking eggs is challenging at this altitude. I am not sure of my microwave's power settings, but cooked large eggs for 10 minutes at the standard setting. They were perfect for me--very slightly jammy at 10 minutes. The shells came off without any difficulty and there was. no dreaded green ring around the yolk. Simple and effective!

On my 700 W small microwave I cooked my large eggs for 12 minutes then let them rest for two minutes before running cold water over them. They peeled easily and have a lovely texture. The only reason I did not give five stars to this product is that the edge of the aluminum tray is so sharp it cut my finger when I tried to lift it from the bottom half of the Eggfecto. Just be careful.

Well I was very excited about the product because I wanted to save myself the time of broiling eggs. However the product was very bad. Firstly the exterior is way to hot after heating the eggs for at least 4 minutes. Second the eggs need as long to be cooked as with broiled water. Third after the first time I used it the eggs started exploding. Lastly the eggs even when not exploding were like gum. Overall, excellent idea for a product but horrible execution and functionality.

I use hot pads to take it out of the microwave. I then quickly put it in the sink and run cold water over it, then remove the cap, run more cold water over the eggs to stop them from cooking more. This also creates eggs after shocking them with cold water, making hard boiled eggs a snap to peal. You get hard boiled eggs in 8 minutes in the microwave. For medium or soft, just opt for less time in the microwave as per the instructions which accompany the unit. By the way, the unit actually steams your eggs as they rest inside the unit over a cup or so of water. With a small pressure relief valve on top of the unit, I've had no explosions in the microwave from excess pressure. This thing is very well designed and a snap to clean.

Replaced my 20 year old MW egg cooker with same one as it served me well and lasted 20 years. Good product.

Good time-saving idea but the web-vert clearly states dishwasher safe.The instructions that come with it state even more clearly that it is NOT dishwasher safe. It is easy to clean but MUST be hand washed.What's the point in buying something to save time boiling eggs so that you spend the saved time, or more, hand washing the thing?On an induction cooker, I can boil eggs quicker than using the microwave AND the pot can go in he dishwasher. Its another gadget to buy and store for no advantage.

I thought this would be a quick, easy and cheaper way to get hard boiled eggs. I usually buy the pre made pre peeled eggs so I had high hopes for this item. Personally I think the design is silly but decided to give it a shot. I read the step by step directions that were easy to follow I set the cook time on my microwave based on their suggested times. 2 of the 4 eggs exploded and as well as the egg cooker it’s self and made a huge mess in both the egg cooker and microwave. The remaining 2 eggs were intact and peeling them was not any easier them if I had boiled them. They were rubbery taste was ok. Cleaning was a pain, dry eggs were stuck to the inside and hard to remove. I thought it might have been user error so I tried a few more times, results weren’t much better. But my microwave is very clean now.

To be honest, its nit a real need. However, eggs get steamed well and are easy to peel.

This is such a good product and I use it all the time. 4 eggs in 8 minutes for hard eggs - perfect for when you are in a rush. No heating up water and setting timers, just put in the microwave and get perfect eggs every time.
