I have a tremor and after much searching, I decided to give this egg opener a try. I'm so happy I did! It works exactly the same as if you were cracking an egg without a device. No more eggshells in my cracked eggs due to my shaky, shakiness!Just follow the steps printed outside of the box, super easy! Put your egg in, close it, use your thumbs to press the metal prongs inside which penetrate the shell, keep them pressed and open the device with your thumb's underneath. The shell remains inside. Some eggs could possibly be too large but so far, it's working out great for me.I highly recommend this handy gadget!Update: After a few uses one of the metal prongs must have fallen off into the trash when I was letting the eggshell fall out. Amazon is sending a replacement. I really need this item and hope the company can resolve this issue so that the prongs are firmly installed. I will use some hot glue or super glue if it happens again. I will also empty the shell onto a paper towel so that I don't lose another prong in the trash.

I love this gadget and I haven't even used it to peel hard boiled eggs yet. I've been using it to crack the eggs, which it does beautifully. It cracks the egg quickly and cleanly and no shells to fish out of the bowl. Also, it rinses out quickly and easily.

One thing some kids have problems with is learning to crack eggs correctly. It is a skill to crack the egg, get the contents of the egg into a pan with no shell or at least as little as possible. While I myself don't need this because it's just more efficient for me to just do it, it allows my youngest to help make eggs because he likes to help me cook. He hates cracking the eggs because he's not good at it and doesn't want to make a mess. This allows him to crack the eggs easily and crack it in a way he can get the contents into the pan without any shell and then quickly dispose of the shell. It's very easy to use and I just showed him once and he took to it instantly.Again, if you can already crack eggs without issues that this is a waste but kids will love it.
