My husband is a big fan of Spam for breakfast. I wasn't happy that his slices were so uneven, causing problems when cooking them. He found this slicer on Amazon and ordered it. I am so pleased with the even slices - cooking evenly because they're all the same thickness. It's easy to clean (I wash it by hand because I tend to do that with most of my kitchen gadgets), and storage is not a problem (in the gadget drawer). I highly recommend it for anyone who is a regular user of Spam.

This is a great product. My son makes spam musubis for parties and I bought him this. It worked great until he throw it in the sink and it got crushed. The string broke. That said it’s designed to be used and cleaned with care. He ended up getting another one and has since been hand washing it after every use. I recommend that you treat it with care and it will last a long time. It was worth the price to teach my son the lesson.

I bought this because I got tired of the odd shaped cuts I was getting cutting Spam on my own.The pic shows a hunk of meat in it which looks a lot like a block of Spam. GREAT! I can use it for that!!I can say with 100% honesty that it does indeed cut Spam VERY WELLHowever,The silver metal frame with the wire blades snaps into the frame at the lower end. It doesn't lock in. When cutting something thick like Spam the metal frame can easily pop back out so I have to use some fingers to hold it in place when pressing it through.Another thing to be aware of is that this will cut much wider slices of Spam than you may be used to. I like mine a bit thinner but these work out just fine for me. Being a bit thicker means I cook ones less and it all works out, for me anyway. Also, if you are cutting something solid or dense like a block of Spam, it will cut through it but you will have to press evenly and slowly or risk bending or maybe breaking the slicer but it will cut cleanly and evenly every time. I went at it the first time I used it thinking it would slice right through with no problem but soon into the cut it really slowed down and I had to ease up on the pressure to keep the cut going smoothly.Cleaning it is easy as well. The metal frame snaps off so cleaning off all the bits of food left on either half is easy to do.Overall a great slicer for what I needed it for. Clean, even cuts every time!

I'm 74, a US Army vet, and I've eaten HUNDREDS of cans of Spam in my life! And every can before now was sliced with a kitchen knife with thick, thin, and crookedly-slices pieces the norm. Well NOT ANYMORE!!!!! With this thing, all the slices are STRAIGHT, and the same thickness! I think I've died and gone to heaven! Just go slow and it works perfectly! Buy this thing and never have poorly sliced Spam again!!! Ran it through the top shelf of the dishwasher and it came out fine!

I needed to replace an old egg slicer that wore out. I like that this one has a larger area. Makes it easier to turn the egg the other way to cube it. I have not tried to cut spam or anything else. Honestly, I probably would not cut anything harder than a banana. It looks well-made, but the wires may bend, if trying to cut something like strawberries. It’s easy to clean, and I really like that it has a hole on top so that you can hang it. It is a little bulkier than my other one, so I appreciate being able to hang it on the wall versus putting it in a drawer. I make banana pudding, so I look forward to using this to cut banana slices quickly, and they will be more uniform.

If you plan on making spam musubi, this is a definite time saver and game changer. I spent a fraction of the time slicing the spam. If you position it right, you can get 9 slices and a partial slice. I used 5 cans and the partial slices were combined and stacked so this slices didn’t go to waste. From other reviews, I knew I shouldn’t rush or use a lot of strength. I made sure I took my time and not to use a lot of force while slicing.

I will order this forever if original breaks.I'm so beyond how I ever lived without this.I even use it to cut boiled eggs for egg salad by cutting in one direction then opposite. Can do 2 eggs at a time.

The size actually fits a can of luncheon meat compared to an egg slicer. Nice idea.

I tried to use this on a can of corned beef it just mushed it up and was very hard to get through, I ended up with a mess it was OK on canned spam though. Eggs will slide on you unlike an actual egg slicer which has the shape to hold an egg.

I tried to use this to cut canned corned beef that was pre-chilled and it absolutely would not cut it at all. May be ok to cut hard boiled eggs, or soft spam not pre-chilled, but corned beef is supposed to be pre chilled to make it easy to get out of the can
