Just got this 0 MOA version of the EGW rail mount installed on a Winchester Model 75, circa 1948-1949, and it fits and works quite well. This is a quick and easy installation that provides lots of scope mounting options. Plus it is a very cost effective alternative to drilling and tapping the receiver, which can diminish value as a non-original modification. The rail mount looks to be well made and nicely finished. Although only two screws are needed for the installation, five T10 screws and a T10 bit were included. I was a little concerned about how difficult it would be to remove the 70 some year old rear scope base screws from the barrel. Those little slotted screws were tight, so a very good fitting screwdriver was necessary for the job. The EGW mount fit very well, with its concave base registering nicely against the barrel, helping those two little attachment screws prevent twisting of the mount. Using medium height rings, I was able to mount a 6-24 power scope with a 50mm lens up front that cleared the barrel by about an eighth of an inch. Then I discovered that the front scope base interfered with the scope's lens cover, so I removed the front scope base from the barrel as well. I suppose some traditionalist might complain about the look of a modern scope and Picatinny rail mount on an old, classic rifle, but I already had the scope on hand, and it provides an adjustable objective, variable power, mil dot reticle, and 50mm of light gathering. The design of this mount cantilevers most of the rail back over the receiver to provide the typical eye relief needed for scopes. Most conventional receiver scope mounts use four screws to secure the mounts. As this rail is held in place by only two small screws, and is cantilevered, I plan to be careful about putting much stress on the scope and mount. Since this is mounted on a rimfire target gun, not a centerfire hunting rifle, I think this mount will work fine for me. Thanks EGW, for making this clever and very useful product!

This does fit a Kimber 82 perfectly. Mine is a Kimber of Oregon 82G. The review from 2020 that says it does not fit is specific firearm related. The holes that it fits are tapped in the barrel. the holes in the 2020 review look like they are tapped in the receiver. They may not be factory taps. It does work.

No modification was needed to install these on the Kimber.

I was really looking forward to this arriving. Unfortunately it is not as advertised. It DOES NOT fit the Kimber 82. Please see pics. The hole spacing is not consistent with what is needed for the Kimber. The Kimber has 1/2" spacing for the screws and the rail has 7/8" spacing. Not compatible.

Scope base works fits and well. However, rail a bit pricey (comes from EGW in the States). Same base can be had through Prophet River Firearms for significantly less (app. $55).
